Hey guys this is really doing my head in. The other day I got my canna coco nutrients and used 3ml of a and b into 1.5 - 2l of water, then watered my plants. The day after they looked great so about 42 hours after the first feed i did the same again. They were coming along great, about 2 days after that same thing, this time i sprayed with Yates Pesticide and turned the lights off for like 6 hours. I came back turned the lights on and looked at em about 3 hours after the lights had been on and WTF!!!.... i started to notice small burns on the leaves and I was quite confused, I thought it was they spray so turned the light off for about 35 - 40 minutes and sprayed all the …

i've been having something odd occur of late. my run off ph has consistently been 7.1 or 7.2 no matter the ph of water going in. it's usually 6.0 or very close to. i've got dolomite in there doing it's thing but my understanding is lime doesn't buffer higher than 7 - am i wrong? also i've heard from one source that an over abundance of microbes to fungi in the mix can throw the balance out in this direction (i use aerated tea with focus on bacteria) - is this true? the girls are looking healthy enough but theres some twisting in the new leaves so something's out. i have added more dolomite than i usually would with this mix, should i just keep on with what im doing or w…

Has anyone ever used growth stimulants on their plants? I have never grown the stuff before but horticultural pursuits have always been my hobby (propagation grafting etc) and a while ago I was working in a nursery where they used growth stimulants to speed up growth and get the plants out the door faster. The stuff was in 4 litre containers and I scoffed off with about 250ml (plus dillution notes on an envelope) for personal use. I used it once on some blackwood seedlings I grew when they were about 30cm high with immature leaves because blackwoods by nature are slow growing. I used the prescribed dilution rate but they kind of freaked out with the next leaves being a …

Auto flower strains - Bubblegum and Jack 47 Medium - Coco, soil, perlite and vermiculite, in the ground Lighting - outdoors under mother natures gazillion watt hps Ok, I'm probably just being a bit over anxious and paranoid as this is my first attempt at auto's, and I've heard they're very delicate in their early stages, but I'd really appreciate an expert opinion here. They are 2 1/2 weeks old, gave them their first feed 4 days ago at just under 1/4 strength as they looked a little pale and slow. No evidence of burning since, and probably a little burst in growth. To me they still look a little pale, so today I gave them another feed at just under half strength. I…

Im interested in seeing how small you guys have rootballs for your plants? After seeing some ridiculously large plants in small pots during my travels on the net, I decided to see just how small you can go? And thus, we come to these bloody things: Between the two standing plants, you can see a full sized HPS globe standing Before you say anything, yes, they are revegges, they have also always been on the edge of the rooms...and they are currently 10 days into flower, however, as you can see, the entire rootball is encased in the rockwool cube. I intend to take these all the way to harvest without further medium, which is the purpose of this little experimen…

Sup all about to get a small cupboard grow going but need advice on the soil. this is my gonna be my first indoor grow, gonna use some 80w CFL's in this small thing (still need to rig it up with fans and filters etc) measures about 40x40x175 now being my first indoor im a complete green thumb - i have atteptemd grown 2 outside plants b4 but that was just pure luck they survived as long as they did. so question is what is a good easy first timer medium to use? something that isn't too hard to look after or requires crazy nutes etc .. i dont want to get too crazy yet on my first attempt. from what ive read coco seems pretty good, i have noted that it says it retai…

And this is what i see... Ive got $60 in my pocket...what do i do? Notes: Im growing outdoors in the best potting mix i could find at Bunnings mixed with blood and bone. I feed her twice a week with water mixed with Nitrosol. She seems pretty happy at the moment and is growing pretty well. She had a slow start to life as i am a first timer and was so eager i was essentially drowning her when she was a seedling. But I am thinking she will start flowering over the next few weeks so want to know what i could buy to help her develop the best possible buds. She is a Greenhouse Seeds Trainwreck. A final note: If anyone wants to tell me i should turn around and walk out…

So I am about to start my first grow, seedlings ready to germinate... What should I buy in Bunnings, besides soil? I have no clue what I am doing, so please help me out. I heard something about bone meal being good to add to soil? also someone on the forums recommended that I actually do not start with soil, as it is harder to manage compared to Coco, what are peoples experiences here?

Been a long while since I've been on the boards, had a little hiccup with the last grow and had to shut it down early. Did a Jack 33 in coco since then and everything went fine. I'm pretty much over my LED experiment now (maybe once more). Been thinking about trying out organic growing so as not to worry about ppm/ph and bottles of shit. I've been using this mix for my tomato's and they're fucking huge. Wondering if some of you organic type growers could critic my mix and let me know if this will work for cannabis? 20L Organic Potting soil - Searles Garden Soil Mix 20L Organic Compost - Searles Real Compost Mix 10L 50/50 Perlite/Vermiculite 5L Cow Manure If…

G'day guys, So recently the lower leaves of my plant have started turning yellow, and has made its way up the plant, i have read up on it and said that it was lack of nitrogen? i added a little bit of miracre grow which has a good dose in it (i know this burns plants easy so i only used a few pinches) and it hasnt helped, i changed the soil from just normal potting mix to 1/3 organic potting mix 1/3 cow manure 1/3 mushroom compost and it has got worse, im unsure what to do as theres so many mixed opions online, so i joined the ausise comunity for local advice, does the leaves turn from ph being too high or low? All help appreciated, it has started to flower also …

Hi all, Has anybody had experience in using a KNO3 solution to induce flowering? I've read it can be used to induce fruit in mango trees as well as other fruiting/flowering plants. An initial spray, leave for 4-5 weeks then another spray is what they recommend. Any thoughts on this?

So i was doing a bit of research tonight on different rooting formulas and decided to work out what rooting formulas work out the cheapest per litre of end solution that you make. When picking products bottle size i will pick a product that will make as close to 1000L of solution as i can, this will keep the comparisons as close together as possible. The products we will be comparing and recommended dosages are as follows Canna - Rhizotonic - 1ml per litre H&G - Rooting Excelurator - 0.33 ml per litre CX hydroponics- Regen-a-root - 1ml per litre Seasol - 3ml to 5ml per litre - this figure is based off what users of this forum are using - i will be using the mini…
