Hey guys, my outdoor sativas are in there first month of summer and have began to show their sex. I have six in total. Two i haven't checked as they are not at the same location as my other 4. But 3 are defiantly female with the classic white hairs coming out in a V shape. BUT my healthiest plant of all, the tallest, the one i have taken the best care of im not too sure about... I have supplied pics, and after much searching i found some hairs but they are brown/orange!! And i accidentally broke off a little piece of plant near it. SO it female?? im really hopping... and if it is are the brown hairs a major problem?? Thanks guys.

I have some outdoor sativas going from seeds which i got online. There are two clear phenotypes. One is doing clearly better than the other in my climate. Im aware enviromental factors effect phenotype. Im planning on breeding these plants for seeds. Now of course i will breed with the two healthiest plants of that helthier pheno type. BUT will these seeds still have that other pheno type in there gentics??? or others or am likley to just see more of that healthy phenos Cheers for help guys http://asset2.rollitup.org/smilies/icon_smile.gif

So i live in Australia so it was literally our first day of summer yesterday. I have some sativa in the ground started early going great. At the current rate they are likely to be over 7 foot by the end of season. BUT i also have some hybrid seedling in. (which i have grown before which was good) They are about 2 or so weeks old and are about an inch high. The longest day of the year is in about 3 weeks. What is likely to happen with these guys? What size will they likely get to? How long does it normally take for a plant to react to the shorting light hours when planted this late? i read somewhere that planting late can be better because you can have smaller plants but p…

I have had a couple of successful grows, for the last 2 months I have been trying to get seeds going, I am going to run out of seeds soon because out of 3 lots I have tried to get going I haven't ended u getting any to bloody grow. Maybe the seeds are old but they are all I have, and now am down to the last few. I've tried soaking them sitting them on a damp make up pad in dark and heat, planting the buggers, I just can't get the bloody things to grow, any ideas for the last few I can't afford to stuff these ones up. Help

Hey guys, Im growing again for the first time in ten years, so Im alittle rusty and am doing outdoor instead of hydro so it could be interesting. I always sprouted my seeds in water, but these ones may be too old cos they have just all sunk. I read somewhere to plant them as soon as they do or they will drown Have never tried the wet paper towel method either. Anyone have any suggestions??

My place is visible to neighbours from every direction but I do have a few bushy garden beds that I want to sneak a few plants into and am trying to identify some really short varieties to put along the border where they will get some sun and being so small people wont really notice them. I remember a long time back seeing a variety that supposedly only grew to about 3o-40cm but didn't pay much attention as at the time I didn't think it would of any use to me but now that I want something like that, with all my hunting so far I have only been able to find some low THC autos around 90cm (outdoor height). Anyone know of some dwarf varieties not getting above 40cm or ma…

Hi guys, new grower here, just with a couple of questions for your infinite wisdom! Currently growing my first ever babies, 2x Northern Lights plants which are meant to be autoflowering and feminised seeds. That leads to my first question, if they're autoflowering, does that mean they'll just all of a sudden start flowering with no change in lighting conditions? Roughly how old will they be when this happens? Will I need to put them into 12/12 with an HPS when they start flowering, or could I just keep them at 24 hours (or whatever I'm doing at the time)? Apparently they're feminised seeds, is that a guarentee? Or if I stuff something up along the way can they still…

Hey All! Just ordered some seeds - since its my first time, i decided to get some autoflowering ones, and hopefully will mix it up as time goes by. I've been looking at lighting, and this stage I plan to grow one or two plants in a small room. So I'm thinking in terms of lighting 400watts, or even 250 would be OK. I was thinking of getting a light setup that consisted of a MH for germinating and growing, and a HPS for flowering. Ideally would get both at once, but no $$$ at the moment. Alternatively, I was looking into a 180watt LED, that should be a lot more efficient, like this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2012-Compact-HIGH-POWER-180W-3w-LED-RED-BLUE-Hydroponi…

howdy peeps, After doing my first run of flowering on CFLs, I've decided to switch over to a HID, for at least flowering anyways.Only problem is have a few questions I couldn't find so thought I would ask instead of continuing on banging my head. I originally chose CFL for power savings but while it made some nice buds, I'm hoping a HID will make the 2nd gen perform better. First off, after some research I plan on spending a bit of extra cash and buy a Lumatek 400w/250w ballast. What i can't find out is how it connects to the lamp shade. My CFL shade has one of the monster connectors built in, inside the shade is some magic and it connects directly to the socket. What…

Hi all Have been away from growing and weed in general for a few years now but decided to plant a couple this year just for the hell of it. I decided to grow outdoors this time and choose Frisian Dew from Dutch Passion. Has anyone on here grown this strain or have any advice on it? If not I will write a blog. So far the plants are around 20 cm tall and have been in the pots for 7 weeks however 1 is starting to head they are both in the same area so does anyone know why this might be happening? Cheers

Hey Peeps, I hope I am in the right place for posting this but here goes nothing. I am wanting to grow a "Mother Plant" so that I can have a steady supply of clones. The first thing I would like to know is what is the minimum amount of light required to keep just the one plant alive and in a vegitive state. I was thinking of something along the lines of a "Compact Fluro" ??? The next thing would be it is neccesary to grow a "Mother" I am struggling allot with this part, some people say you do not need to keep the original mother while others say you do. For exmaple: I have heard and read that you grow a Mother that is female that way every cutting you take from …
