Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation

so, while i wait for my seeds, i was going to do a bunnings run. - i live on a 5000 acer farm, so a trip to bunnings is around 1hr away so what to have most of the things, as its a bitch to go back and forth. i was planning on growing in large bags from bunnings and putting them in the ground, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4msTQxPnn4 ( give your ideas on this) but i would like help on: -What nutrients to buy -what soil, and what nutrients i should add to the soil. So guys this will be my 2nd plant ever I'll be planting, my last one didn't turn out so well. I have to hide the fact I'll be growing a plant due to living at home with parents, in their eyes marijuana is a drug and something that has a negative impact on a person. The last plant was mowed over due to it being in my backyard. I tried to hide it we'll but needed to keep in mind it had to be a sunny spot, it sprouted well and was looking good for a week or so and discoloured. What do you feed your plants? There's a truckload of gear for hydro, I can't find much on bush. With using it have you noticed a difference in smell, taste and yield? Is it organic? I was looking at uplift at bunnings organic liquid fertilizer. As I'm still learning myself, so Im after all your knowledge :-) Is there anything to stay away from? Do you go off fruit or veggie or flower additives/fertilizer?

Just a question from a newbie, hypothetically speaking if I were to plant germinated seeds today and all goes well will the plants flower early next year? How does it work, or will they only flower during September/October depending on the strains? I ordered Durban poison seeds from Amsterdam Seed bank and was wondering if it's pointless planting them and having to wait a year until they flower. Any help would be nice thanks

so plastic pots are expensive apparently /: hmm so the bigger the pot the more expensive the smaller the less you pay would 12ltr an 20 ltr pots support good growth and yield?

I live in a windy dustbowl and have a few outdoors on the go. Beginning to wonder what I might do to prevent dust getting into the buds on days when it really blows. I imagine it would stick to the buds and be hard to wash off with a watering can! Anyone got any tips to counter the windy element?

Hi guys with a new season just around the corner I thought someone may benefit from my watering system for guerrilla growing.. my technique uses a roofing system i.e. polycarbonate sheets,guttering,stakes and storage tanks...this system should be set up as early as possible to catch the spring rains..its simple really and all material is light and easy to carry long distances through the bush.. the system can be scaled to personal needs i.e. more plants more water more materials...I use polycarbonate sheets to create surface area, plastic guttering to catch water, tarred wooden stakes for framework and 100-200l storage tanks you can even set up drip systems off the tanks…

Hi. I'm new to the forums and canberra. I'm coming from Texas and I've never attempted an outdoor grow. Since I live in Canberra I've decided to try it out. Plus it's cheaper than paying for 200+watts of electric for 3 months. I want to attempt to make a subcool's supersoil technique. I never really liked adding 7 different nutes for veg and then 7 more for flowering. I rather just make the supersoil and just add water. I was wondering if anyone can help me choose a good organic soil close to Fox farm's ocean soil or Roots organics Soil. Also if you have any suggestions on seeds. Thanks!

Hey guys I'm about to start my first grow in my backyard and have been looking through forums for a bit of info, I read some people bury there pots in order to keep the plants height down I was just wondering if anyone has tried it and if doing so would affect the drainage of the soil at all?wouldnt mind trying it but as I said its my first grow so I'm learning along the way any help would b much appreciated.

Ok I have A question. I know dog/cat turds can work to help ward off wild animals while guerilla growing but does anyone have any other advice or suggestions. I was thinking at work today maybe dirty old cigarette butts in plastic bags would ward off animals and also those dog and cat sprays

Hi Guys, Ive just recently started my first grow op outdoors. They're 6 days old and going strong. I just started reading up on force flowering but all the info I could find is from the norhern hemisphere which makes it so complicated with the seasons of the year. Wondering if anyone can tell me how much light I should give them for force flowering and how old should they be when I do it? Thanks heaps:)
