what is dry hot country* like for growing dope if the water is kept up to it? soil is a hard and rocky too. how do i get water into a patch that is not near a creek? any tricks? Im thinking of lugging those 20L plastic drums in and putting a dripper on a piece of small hose. 1 for each plant for in between visits. How often will I need to check them for watering? Every couple of days or each week? Dont really like the sound of carrying X amount of 20L drums full of water through rugged terrain over X amount of k's, but you gotta do what you gotta do i suppose. Any tips from the experienced (or newbies) appreciated. *open the image of country typical of the sub…

How's it going guys/girls? I've just stuck 12 Mango Bush seeds in some wet paper towel and a sandwich baggy, I'll be scouting for decent locations to grow soon. Does anyone have any advice for me? Also I heard from word of mouth that there are some plants growing (I don't know the age) near by (I'm being vague in the off chance he gets found out) anyway apparently it's an old bloke every morning who comes around the area and checks on them. I'm hoping to find his plot and leave a note so I can meet him and ask him for advice but I can't think of a way to not sound like a cop setting a trap or a sketchy guy who might rob him. Any advice? Will update with more pics of…

Been contemplating guerrilla growing some Affies, but since fixing the room a little, don't really need to, but something grown under the sun would be nice, so I'm starting up some of the Afghani seeds, to nurture out the back once conditions improve. I'm currently sexing some seeds from the same batch, to get an idea of male to female ratios, once sexed, all will be tagged and put back to veg, one male to be kept for pollen. Have only just put more Affie seed in, if they are anything like the last, should see some action in a couple of days in the starter pots. Just a simple 50/50 mix of seed raising mix and perlite, soaked in a warm bath of Uplift plant starter prior …

Greetings earthlings. This is my first post ever, anywhere. Have grown a few dodgy plants in dodgy pots with average success. This time I am going to give hanging grow bags a trial this time for a number of reasons.#1~last crop I grew in BIG plastic pots grew to Gigantic heights! [due to me being a bit heavy handed with Seasol tonic]. I'm talking taller than my 6 foot high fence in a matter of weeks !!! My neighbour kindly let me know that when her friends came over at night to play on the kids swings they could see and smell them from the boundry airspace!! #2~the shonky wonky screens I had to construct out of old cane blinds, hessian bags and $19.95 Bunnings brushwood f…

Hey all, so the time to start my adventure in a few months is coming up, the last few weeks I've been walking countlessly through swamps, bush, and thick scrub to find a location. So far I've found and decided on two ideal spots, #1 is in a marsh/swamp, but is only wet in the winter, and dry in the summer months. Nice open area with plants and foliage at least 5ft all round for at least 300m then dense bush. #2 is in a secluded area of dense bush, it has lots of healthy plants and grass, a decent clearing in the canopy. Choppers would have to know its there to even pick it up. #3 still searching.. I'm not worried about passér bys stumbling upon my beauties. As my…

Sup guys, Long time lurker, first time poster here. Also first time grower. I probably should of started a grow diary for this journey... it's been pretty exciting, but just too paranoid for that yet I guess. Have a few q's Got some Old Timer's Haze (ace seeds) ordered from Attitude. Pretty dodgy stealth in the tshirt, but whatever, they arrived, and I got no knock on the door yet from the piggies so I guess I'm sweet. Awesome strain from what I read, but very slow growing. I've got about 10 originals that survived my inexperienced mistakes at the start and they are flourishing as well as another 10 clones that are also flourishing and growing really fast (plant…

Back in 2010 in suburban Brisbane I used our outside cat enclosure for a guerrilla grow. The cage was completely enclosed and came off the garage so while being stealthy it also acted as a deterrent to rippers as well. There were 7 or 8 plants in pots which were easily put back in the garage if we had guests. It also had a shelf which I used to do a screen of green with. View from the front Side view More snaps

Have decided to try a couple of plants that I have never heard of this year. Gonna have 1 white widow ( great smoke and easy to grow ) 1 red dragon and 1 rock lock. If anyone knows or can give me some advice about the RD and RL that would be sweet. smokeon

Hey guys, I'm always on the hunt for new/interesting ideas to improve both the quality & the ease of growing our favorite herb outdoors. I came across the concept of wicking beds just recently & it REALLY caught my attention, so much so that i've already started planning out where & how i will build these beds for next season. Heres a couple of very handy links on the subject that might interest other outdoor growers. http://www.urbanfoodgarden.org/main/wicking-beds/wicking-beds.htm I would really like to hear some input from others on this subject as well as some potential improvements or problems anyone can think of. 1 idea that i thought might impro…

Just started smoking my first crop of White Rhino -- pulled out my greenhouse in late April this year. For anyone contemplating this strain: its a good yielder, I got 6.5 cured kg from 15 plants; the buds are tight balls with almost no give in them; and, the plant is really bushy, averaging around 20 bud yielding branches per plant. Although they don't grow too tall -- mine averaged around 1.3 metres tall-- but they are very bushy, so allow plenty of room between They can handle a bit of cold weather, but need a lot of light -- went really well in my greenhouse. Can't really talk about the strain's potential indoors, but I would suspect would deliver the goods. As…

Hey all I was away doing some gold prospecting and got a sms yesterday to let me know that my plants were stolen on friday night. I am sharing a house with my cousin and she was out with friends until 2-30 friday morning when as she was turning into our street(culdesac) she saw an unfamiliar car parked across the road. She said as she first turned into the street that there was someone holding a plant by the roots and quickly threw it into the boot. She did not think much more of it(she doesnt smoke and doesnt care about the plants) until she woke up and went outside in the morning. There was a trail or roots and dirt leading from the garden bed across to where the car…
