General Cultivation Q&A

Hi all, I am new to the forum and I thought with Spring on the way this would be a good first post. This is somthing I used last year and it worked very well, I grew all my herbs and chillis from seed using this method. It is great to allow seeds and seedlings to spend some time outdoors before potting or transferring to the garden beds. I only have room for 1 Cannabis plant so I have germinated it along with my herbs and chillis for this year. Those with larger operations may find it useful to get your seeds going very cheaply. But as a first time grower I don't know if there are any ill effects from starting a seedling in the natural cycle of the sun then moving…

But for now I am wondering if anyone has a recommended seed bank to ship to Melbourne, and how to go about ordering online. Do I have to use fake name? My own credit card? Just wondering if many crew on here use Cyco nutrients and mediums?? was thinking of becoming a dealer of their products, as theres no one currently in my area, just wondering what people that use their nutes think about them??

this topic is sure to have been dealt with before but I can't find it. maybe this is due to age shrinking my brain. or greying my eyesight. but my question is: if a body wanted to preserve a strain and s/he had a plump female and some pollen, when should the dust be sprinkled? my understanding is that the timing is important to obtain a maximum of seeds that will be female.

Hi guys, I'm wondering which brands of nutes would be best for a soil grow, specifically Canna Terra Professional. Canna terra vega/flores would be the logical choice, but they're really expensive where I live, so I'm trying to look for a cheaper alternative if possible. Has anybody here used the Advanced Nutrients or General Hydroponics with canna soil? Any other suggestions? Or should I just bite the bullet and go with the canna terra nutes? Thanks!

Hey, first time posting. (Sorry if this is in the wrong place) Bit of background info. I have 8 outdoor plants, started to pop out of the soil on the 9th October, they seem to be growing slower than last years plant, might be because the seeds are 2 years old baggies, they started curling a little so I put them under a tree with shade and they are still curling, I thought it might of been the heat, some of the tops of them got so bad I just topped them.I'm giving them rain water, they're in some potty mix with a 5 food organic soil I could find the name of it tomorrow. I live nsw and it's been around 30 - 40 degres

Hi got me some reasonably well established clones, rooted out of blocks and into pots. Can i start giving them a root booster?, already tolerating 1/2 strength nuts and 8-10cm high.

So by first grow I mean first time I have put genuine effort and money into this as a project. Unfortunately these poor guys started life in bunnings soil under shitty CFLs in yogurt tubs. Around two weeks in they were transferred into Canna Terra Pro I bought a PH pen tent proper lights, tent etc. Two took off pretty well, one not so well, one actually grew with it's tap root up then flipped itself and has since struggled to do much. See pics. I started having done 0 research. At this point I'm pretty clued up but these poor guys copped a steep learning curve. Which also leaves me at a loss when diagnosing their issues.
