General Cultivation Q&A

Okay i used to use a 150W HPS setup but no i have moved home with other people and its a bit harder to use that. Now i have to use a smaller box with Cf's. I was wondering has any one ever budded with cf's and had good results. Im only growing 1 plant or 2 in scrog (buit i cant get clones now) so maybe 1 plant with 6 18W bulbs, in a box with 75cm(H) x 25cd (D) x 30cm(W) so yep its is small but i only need about an 1/2 an ounce a month. DO u think i can get this results. please help

Sup guys i just got a quick question ive got a skunk x white widdow in bloom at the moment and its seems to b buddin on the richest peak of the leaf is.. its where the steam connects to the leaf, but it is only seeming to grow on 2 leafs on my whole plant.. the plant is about 3.5 months old now 2.5m veg/1m flower.. can u tell me how to increase this, as im sure its not a problem but sumthing, goood.. and why dose it only happen on certain leafs..? much respect Ele

Hi there Want to play the game again and am going to bring my old setup back online.. I just have a basic feed tray of 1.2m with a single 400w light..I have only done this once befor from seed and got about 13oz of premium gear.. I got lucky as i had 9 seeds and they happened to be very good Quality and all female aswell.. I was wondering if i should buy seed or clones from a seedbank.. If i bought seed how many would i want to put in the tray?(1.2mx1.2m) considering i will have males and femails this time.Should i go with clones? what sort of yeald would you expect from a setup of this size and what strain would you people recomend for someone like myself? Im all set up to do a SOG with DWC using expanded clay in 3" netpots but the more I read here, I find easier ways with less hassle like the run to waste method. Because Im using co2 Im wondering if this will deprive the roots of some oxygen that would normally come from airstones in the DWC method. Tom, your the man when it comes to run to waste....do you think that this system would be an advantage in terms of less hassle, less noise and healthier plants due to the nutrients being fresh at all times.

Sup guys im pushin into the 6th week and i added pk 13-14.. yesterday.. i was wondring when can i start flushing the system...? only about 5-10% of pistals r going brown.. for the moment.. and im not sure week wise when i should start.. and will i see sum crazy changes since ive added the buddin additive..?

I just bumped into an ooooooold mate of mine. To cut a long story short, we got talking about the 'old days' and he told me he is still growing, where I gave up a few years ago. I went to his place last night and was amazed, to say the least. He only has 4 plants, however his grow room measuring 5m x 5m is completely full of SOG. It was that full, I didn't believe he only had 4 plants. I got down on my stomach and checked the pots. Sure enough, 4 pots with 1 plant in each. He is growing in 500mm buckets, with one bucket sitting in another of the same size. The inside bucket has holes underneath for drainage into the outer bucket. The 'lip' of the buckets keeps the i…

how often do u keep water cycle on? I have mine on 15mins every 4 hours light cycle. would appreciate any input. p.s. one more , my ph meter ($90 from Dickies) is me an my ladies BEST friend. ::

hi all agian been growing for last ten years but always larger plants but i would like to set up a sog some how but need help with how many plant x areai have watering times and how to feed perferably auto i have and area of 8x4 with 2x400w & 1 600w i would like to do approx 16-20 n try 4 3-6oz @plant have theese strains to use ak-47xc-99,c-99,bbxc-99 or white skunk so any info gratly appreciative cheers W.S

Hi all, I'm just wondering the best age to start flowering. I've got a few babies at 3 weeks old and 1 at 8 weeks. The 8 week old VB is already showing pre-flowers. Can i start flowering now?, Or do i have to wait longer before they are mature enough to turn the lights back?. Any help much appreciated, Thanks.

I just had a thought when I was looking at the hydroponics website where I am a member aswell, they have a food & plant dehydrator with six drawers for $308.51 (members price) I was thinking just as an experiment how about using the machine to dry the buds and see what happens?if I was to purchase one I would certainly shop around for a better price Just a thought Happy hunting

B)hey all i was wondering if anyone no,s whether u can grab a 600w hps ballast and run 2 plugs off it instead of the 1 @250 w each? which would mean that im only drawing 500w of off a 600w ballast ..now is it posible to do this for luca do a 250w globe and would like to do this if posible cheers everyone and thnx

I did a fair bit of research before starting my grow, but what I didn't do is plan everything out and get my cabinet running and tested before I started growing. Now I've had plants growing for about a month, I still have to put up sheets of ply and blankets at night around the cabinets to stop light leaks being seem from outside the room. Also when the doors are closed the cabinets get up to 36 degress, so during the day I have the doors open with an oscillating pedestal fan in front of them. So in short I've got two cabinets running way too hot with light leaks galore and no smell control in place yet and I want to put these babies into flower within the next mont…
