General Cultivation Q&A

Hi all, Need some help here on what pot sizes to use from start to finish. I have no idea as i've never grown in pots, Always straight in the ground or my airo. I've done a bit of hunting about but my brain(or whats left of it) doesn't understand the ol' gallons to litre change. Space is no probs at the moment and i grow under a 400w hps. Any help much appreciated, Paranoid.

Hi, I am a newbie but, A couple of years back I had a plant in the cuboard and a growlux 150watt light on it... It grew to around 3-4 feet in about 2 1/2 months 24/7. Then I switched the cycle to induce blooming... anyhow I got sick of waiting and a bit paranoid about the smell as i was living in a 40 unit building.... I ripped it out of the soil (fert'd with fish emulsion) and dried it in the griller, just when it was getting the first nice tips forming... well what a dissappointment that was!!! I didn't even get stoned of the shit!!!! What I was wondering was... is this a common scenario with a hydro/light setup?? If you've ever had sumthin like this happen plz let me…

just a question for all,,,,,, what is everyone fave strains, or fave smoke, fave plant to grow,, most of the smoke ive smoked hasnt been named, nice bushys,, an the hydro, has just been called hydro, none ever looked the same,

Swing has been reading on a lot of yankie and dutch sites about adding sugar to the nutrient mix during flore will increase size of buds and final yeild quite alot. Anyone had any experiance in this?Does it work? Swing bought a tree fern from the nursery last week and the store owner said to give the fern a cup of sugar every few months and it will grow heaps better

Hi all, Was out with my babies last night & was thinking about "folair feeding/watering"....I have an abundant supply of rainwater (well,for a person that is not a farmer) & was wondering if I should give em a spray....?They are getting nice & white,a little sticky & smelly.Will folair feeding help or discourage this?Should I add something to the water?Should it be done at a certain time of day?Any links on this topic,anyone? I have never tried it before & was wondering if others here have had a go at it & if,how it turned out? Well better get outta this cube & do some work! Can any one please advise. How much potency is lost due to continual cloning I dont mean from the one mother, but cloning from one plant, growing that plant, then cloning again, etc etc. Much appreciate any advise given. Cheers Tig,

I have 8 pots in 4" pipe (picture attached for better descripton) My question is. what should i do at night time? do i totally drain the system and leave the roots sitting on the pvc or do i leave the water running all night?

Hey, i was planning on growing on a scrog as my first grow, but i was just wondring, how high does it have to be above the pots? does it matters. my space will be between 3 and 4 feet high and width and length will be around 2 feet each... thanks for you help crazychicken
