General Cultivation Q&A

Hi all, Was out with my babies last night & was thinking about "folair feeding/watering"....I have an abundant supply of rainwater (well,for a person that is not a farmer) & was wondering if I should give em a spray....?They are getting nice & white,a little sticky & smelly.Will folair feeding help or discourage this?Should I add something to the water?Should it be done at a certain time of day?Any links on this topic,anyone? I have never tried it before & was wondering if others here have had a go at it & if,how it turned out? Well better get outta this cube & do some work! Can any one please advise. How much potency is lost due to continual cloning I dont mean from the one mother, but cloning from one plant, growing that plant, then cloning again, etc etc. Much appreciate any advise given. Cheers Tig,

I have 8 pots in 4" pipe (picture attached for better descripton) My question is. what should i do at night time? do i totally drain the system and leave the roots sitting on the pvc or do i leave the water running all night?

Hey, i was planning on growing on a scrog as my first grow, but i was just wondring, how high does it have to be above the pots? does it matters. my space will be between 3 and 4 feet high and width and length will be around 2 feet each... thanks for you help crazychicken

Hi i thought i would introduce myself. Ask u all How do u like my girl? I grew her under 400 wt hps. Flowered for 2 weeks with this. Then i bought a 600hps. I dont have any brown hairs yet. Hey there fellow jedi..... Just wondering if anyone has used either the "Cocopeat"(that's the company's brand name.) "Easyfil" grow bags or the "Cocopeat" mixed cocopeat and bark media? I saw them advertised in the Practical Hydroponics and Greenhouses mag, and thought that what works for tomatoes, seems to work well for good ol mary jane too, so maybe these growbags could be a good way to grow. I've seen some people grow with other media in black plastic bags, like those you usually get rosebushes in, and I thought that this new product may be convienient for the avg. grower.... And if anyone out there has used the mixed peat + bark media, I'd love to hear your exp…

I think australian hydroponic suppliers are really behind in relation to our american hydroponic suppliers. One example of this:- www.greenair.com You just cant not get this type of quality equipment here in australia. any comments?

Instead of clay balls does anyone thing it is possible to grow in volcanic rocks? or large chunks of blue metal? Swing has never tried, but can get these products for free. Any advice would help Swing save a few bucks. Thanks in advance

mmmm, all this talk of hydro mj, is getting me keen,, i have grown bushys plenty and always had good results, but i do luuuurrrvvee hydro smoke,, so i was wondering,, what would i need to get started, ive got a cupboard i could do it in,, spare pots, and i have some nice seeds nearly coming up,,,,,, anyone got any thoughts,,,, also i really dont want to spend thounsands,, or something too time consuming " i gotta work too" but i realize it will cost and it will take time,, i should keep them in the ground, but i do love hydro pot,, i throw it over to u guys?????

just another query, instead of pollinating for vigour and potency, why not graft the 2 varieties u want? is this a technique worth looking into? :mellow:

let me first admit that my growing experience is limited...i used to pot my plants up and forget them, with only minimal checking....i probably missed out on recognising early veg/flowering indicators by doing this.....so please forgive me if my questions appear stupid, the terminology is not "technically correct" and if the answers are obvious.... anyhow, here goes.... i have a late grow happening outdoors, at the moment unprotected, but when serious cooler temps arrive, they are going into a greenhouse....for now, days are warm and growth, while a bit slowerl, is going well.... these babies are a few weeks old and from bottom right to bottom middle are purple sat...an…
