howdy, I'm wondering if anyone has used scoria before?? I seen it at bunnings for $8 a bag, so its way cheaper than clay balls, and seems to have the same kind of properties. Anyway I will be testing it my bubblers next grow just to see if it works as good unless some-one has had any bad experiences.

Its been now about 55 days in 12/12 (only bagseed but looks great!!!) but I don't want the plant to grow much more. Can I cut the light cycle even more to force the buds to mature faster??? Also how do I dry it?? I know to hang it but for how long?? Any advice would be most appreciated - Cheers Oz stoners you have all helped me alot through my first grow. Peace

Hey all, Well it's finally gonna happen! Myself and grow buddy Majestic (new member here) are just about ready to get this thing up and running already. As for the basic plan of the design, it's a 250 watt fluro DWC grow, stealth cabinet style... pretty generic really and I won't bore you with the details. However I would like to run by the initial seedling stages with the experts, just to make sure everything is in place and that I haven't made any fundamental errors. We'll start off by germinating a few seeds, Very Berry #2, donated by Pipeman. Majestic will start as soon as he gets them. Thanks a fucklot for that Pipe, you're going out of your way to help some …

G'day. I just set up a mate with a light I had laying around surpluss. He's going to grow in pots of organic in a smallish cupboard. I don't have any books anymore to loan him, and franky although I'm really fond of the guy, he just isn't smart. I mean, very unsmart if you get my drift. I'm a bit fed up telling him the same things over and over, and figured I might just print some baic instructions out for him off the web. Anyone know of a real basic set of instructions for him? Forget cloning, I'll show him that when the time comes, but just simple light regime stuff. Mind, if there's cloning stuff on it, that's alright too, but really not needed. Any help is g…

hi everyone im in melb and wondering if its too cold to grow indoors here? outdoors is not an option for me. I have a choice of 2 rooms, largish bedroom but carpet on the floor so could get messy, or small bathroom. Im thinking putting the pots in the bathtub with a few lights on em would be ok? I dont have any great expectations, just a nice yield for me & my girlfriend, much prefer the cerebral, we dont like the stuck to the couch feeling as it doesnt leave much energy for anything So any suggestions of a good strain /setup for my situation would be great. And keep in mind i am renting so i cant affix lights to the ceiling or make other modifications. …

Hey guys, I just moved my rooted plants to my aero system, and wanted to know if you guys could give me some advice on how many times i should water a day and for how long. The plants are in net pots, rooted in rockwool plugs (pots filled with hydroton). The plants will have a 400watt Mh for light (I have a 430 hps for bloom)and the aero machine mistes nutrients at the roots. There are 6 360degree mistres that completley airate the grow chamber with nutrients. After the nutrients are sprayed at the bottom of the net pots then it is recirculatd back to the reservoir. I was thinking of misting for 15 minutes every 3-4hrs is this to long to wait for watering??

History Shaping the Future By Trevor Shields The roots of hydroponics are as deep and strong as those of the plants the science nurtures itself. “Hydroponics” as a term was first coined by Dr. W. E. Gerricke in the 1920s and 30s to define his work with plants. The word is an amalgam of the two Latin words “Hydro” and “Ponos” which literally translates as “water working.” While the latter half of the 20th century saw the largest leaps in technology and instrumentation of the science, the earliest recorded instance of hydroponics are the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. This Wonder of the Ancient World is regarded as one of the first working hydroponic gardens, but…
