..is worm juice ok , and any idea of the NPK ratio? is it higher in any of the main elements? I presume it is ok but have never tried it. ...and if anyone would like any for free I (my old man) has heaps...but postage would probly make it hardly worth it. Unless they are in the area of N/castle or Lake Mac.

Hi All, I need a little advice and thought someone might be able to help. I am growing 4 plants in and NFT system, they are all a foot tall and doing really well. I have a 250 Watt MH light and flourescents in my grow cupboard. Am using 1/2 strenth nutes woith H2O2 a couple of times a week. When I run the 250W light after about 6 hours the leaves start to droop, no change in colour just a severe droop. I turn the 250 W off and put the fluorescents on and within a couple of hours they are back to normal. The nute temp maintains at about 25C, the room temp at about 28 - 30 C. I have an extractor fan moving air around the room. Any ideas or suggestions would be re…

what the hell's a g.f? g.f stands for guinea fowl. a guinea fowl is a bird about the size of a chook and looks a bit like a vulture. there main diet is bugs. apparantly 90% but i don't know about that. i often see them having a pick at the grass seeds. at night they roost in an old tree about 100 metres away from the house. theirshit(i think guano is a much prettier word)obviously falls to the ground below. i thought i might give this g.f soil a go. i figured if it didn't burn the ass out of them that it might be a good medium. so i thought i might do a complex scientific experiment, i made a mix of 50/50 soil and g.f soil. i used it when i repotted seedlings at …

Well I should be gettin a digicam in a few days but I just couldn't wait to post this...I'm too pissed off. My very first grow...about a month and a half of growing (15 days into flowering) and I'm pretty sure they're males. When I get my cam I'll post actual pics of em but I got this pic from some site and this is exactly what they look like. Little tiny balls

We've probably all 'jagged' a ratio something like 7,8 or 9 out of 10 females from a particular batch of 10 seeds at any one time. My question is; How often does the opposite occur to everyone ? That is, how often do you bum out and get a shitload of males instead ? Obviously the answer should be, just as often, but I'd like to see if any kind of statistical trend emerges.

i missed my watering this morning and decided i'd water late in the afternoon. once getting there, i noticed that the water in the holding tank was very hot . too hot to keep my hand in there for more than 10 secs or so. so i decided to postpone until early tomorrow. would anyone have any idea a max sort of temp range for water? there have been times in the past when i haven't been game to water with even luke warm water in fear of causing damage to the plants. do you think i was being over cautious and could have watered. i have always been curious about that. thanks guys wade

I spotted this at the local smutshop this morning for the low low price of $8.50 so I picked it up for light reading material. It's got a bright yellow light cardboard cover and is 48 pages long. It's written by "D. R. Wakefield" and revised in 1986. http://www.wellcoolstuff.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/Taustraliawakefield.jpg It's written informally and covers a broad range of doping issues separated into chapters. It has diagrammes and drawings throughout including some of common ailments (like wilting and over fertilising) and male and female plants. I bought it cause it was the INDOOR guide and has the HID/Fluorescent lighting thing splashed on the front cove…

Heya, I've had a 400w closet system going for a few weeks now and no problems so far but the 12v transformer which runs 2x12v 12cm fans gets pretty hot. I have the fans wired up in parallel, one's an exhaust connected to ducting and the other is for circulation. There appears to be sufficient airflow coming in so I don't think the fans are being stressed. It's on/off for 12 hours. Should it be running so hot? how can I work out whether the transformer is rated high enough? I believe it's 500ma. Sorry for all the questions, any help would be appreciated. thanks mr_magoo.

I am a beginner indoor grower. I just started growing my first set of 4 plants. I grew them in my room and they got to be about 4 feet tall and my step father decided that he would kill them on me. It was very depressing. Is there any way to get the same results from an indoor plant outdoor? I was growing a strand of Northern Lights, but as i understand its an indoor strand. but the money i spent on it went down the drain. Also it took me a longer amount of time then the usual plant takes to grow. now i know that there are many professional growers here so could you please give me some pointers? It would be very helpful. Thank you.

I recently aquired 5 seeds and have been trying to germinate them using the paper towel method. I found a tupperware container, put 2 layers of paper towel on the bottom of it and soaked it. I then spead the 5 seeds evenly over the paper towel and placed a wet piece of paper towel over them. Then sealed the container and placed on top of my dvd drive, which is nice and warm. It's been about a day and a half now, and nothing noticeable is happening.....how long does this method usually take? Just worried that I may have 5 dud seeds.... Cheers

Well i posted this first in Indoor lighting but after a few days, 8 views and no replies i am going to post here in hope of an answer. If you have seedlings/clones on 24/24(fluros), what is the best way to change the light cycle to be able to put them outdoors? Will i freak them out putting them straight outdoors or should i gradually reduce light hours and then put them out? Advice appreciated....
