General Cultivation Q&A

Hi all it seems something has possibly stunt the growth of a number of my plants. I started my plants from seeds 3 and a half weeks ago and now have 3 very good plants now which are going well and would be 15-20 odd centimetres tall but the rest which were planted at the same time are dismal to say the least. They are only about 5cm tall and have been that way for 2 weeks I'd say. I also have a couple more plants that were planted a week later and are also stuck at 5 cm. Alright. Well, I'm still in the stages of planning my first grow. I won't be sure of what I'm growing until I have the seeds in my hands, but they are on their way, or so I've been led to believe But I should have Bubblegun and M60 here soon. I am not averse to buying more beans if it really will make a difference. I was just looking for some kind of advice on my plan and answers to some probably retarded questions. Setting up first hydro setup....how clean do the hygromite clay rocks need to be? Is a rinse good enough or should they be thoroughly cleaned? Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, I'm 26 days into my first EVER grow. I have four plants under a 400w HPS, I decided to use bagseed for my first grow, but you know when you get an ounce, and maybe get one or two seeds from the bag?? that kinda bagseed ( i know, bagseed is bagseed right ). Anyways, like i said, 26 days. I have (yesterday) used my last little bit of fertilizer (ESU Greenleaves) and really don't have any way to get more until next week The plants are about 8 inches tall, and are looking quite healthy overall. Hi Team! All I ever seem to grow are hermies. To date, I have been harvesting pretty early, probably too early judging but what I read here about when to harvest a female plant! My question is: Do the same rules apply for harvesting a hermie? I harvest early to avoid seeds, but is this the best strategy? Should I let it go longer and let the buds get bigger? I only have hermies so there is no chance of spoiling a real female! Thanks!

I switched to new nutes, Dutch Master Advanced. Anyway, after a few days my grow room stank! It was pretty bad, like a dead rat. However, it was not a dead rat but rather the nutes! It smelled bad for a week, then the smell disappeared - well, diminished markedly. Is this normal? :whistling

can u clone a plant thats say two weeks old, will it root. answers thnx

hi 1 of my plants little hairs have started turning brown and look like there dyeing but the plant is looking really nice is this normal cause its trippen me out hey it has not started buding yet if that helps but looks like it might start soon

Would 10 inch pots be good for the whole grow or do I need larger ones?

I have 5 qt. jars of superbud but somehow it got to dry, what can I do to rehydrate it. Any help on this would be appreciated.

heya peeps well .. me beanz have sprouted ... shee IT it was quick .. wll not all, but most and the problem i have today is this when i checked them a few minutes ago (see pix) most of the sprouters were burying themselves in the papertowel what di i do ? i have cubes soaking already .... but I'm worried about damaging the tap root any advice? this was why i wanted to not paper towel them and go cubes direct . doh looks like one or two of spurious lowryder x mazar may just pop :scratchin
