Ok...so lets say one wanted to grow hydroponically or with airponic equipment... Either. Assuming you worked out ways to contain any moisture/liquid in a seperate area without it "migrating", what do you think would happen if you were to have the roots up above the plant, and plant facing downwards, and underneath it, a grow light on the "ground" under it, facing up? Would the plant start growing upside-down? Would gravity somehow...make liquid/bus size swell more? Would this eliminate/lessen the duration of the dry/hang? I just feel like I wanna do this, just to try...I have no equipment yet, but I think I'm gonnd look further into this, just because. Thoughts?

Hey guys if you guys have been reading up on all my newbie questions you know I am about to transplants my girls to some larger buckets and am almost ready to flower em under the HPS. The question I have is: I have noticed that as the temp decreases where I am residing the plants stems have become a purple color. I can see it in the veins of the leaves a bit but mostly on the the stems. Could this be a consequence of the colder climate: mid to low 60's at night and 70's during the day, or do you guys think this has to do more with a Phosphorous problem? Thanks for the responses and always the massive amount of help. Also stay posted for picks of their new habitat

hey folks, im pretty sure i have either a calcium or sulfur deficiency. as i read in the faq, a calcium deficiency can cause the leaf margins and the leafs to curl in a upward motion. making the leaf's look retarded. i read that a calcium deficiency can come about when too much Mg magnesium is added. Now thinking about it i did add a littl.e extra epsom salts to the soil, before planting them. what nutrients are high in calcium and/or sulfur

hey folks, for the first time in my whole growing experiance i have just heard/read about flushing.. now this could have helped me out so many fkn times where somthing had gone wrong for eg the wrong soil ph, nute burn, deficiencys... sheesh.. anyway, im just not sure about this part - if i was to buy some cocopeat, can i adjust the pH of it by adding a head of pH addjusted water to it ? or just flushing it through pots ? if i had planted some plants in soil, and then found out the pH was incorrect, could i just flush pH adjusted water through them too ? im also pretty sure i added too much magnesium sulfate to the soil of some of the clones i have going.. caus…

Hey guys, I just found your forum. I hope you don't mind, I would like to show you my Aero Space Shuttle. I grew in DWC for a couple of years and got tired of lifting tubs of water so I wanted to have a system with a drain. I designed this aero system for ease of operation. It was pretty expensive, but worth it all, to me. The 6" pvc tubes are 36" long. The grow space is 3'X3' http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x140/earlon3rd/000_884.jpg There are cross flow tubes to keep the nutes the same level in both tubs. I wanted drains, so i didn't have to do any lifting. http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x140/earlon3rd/000_0949.jpg http://i184.photobucket.c…

hi all, I'm new on the board, nice to be here For the last 2 years I've been living in the Netherlands aka Holland. Have really enjoyed the smoke here, and I'm planning on sending some seeds back home to Melbourne, to try my first grow. So I'm posting to ask, what kind of strains would be a good choice? I live in the mountains a few hours drive from melbourne, to give you an idea of climate. I'd like to try a basic indoor soil grow, as well as planting some in the bush during summer (theres an enormous wilderness area nearby, many private places to grow a couple plants here and there!) Would like to try a few different kinds of seeds, but I want to buy strains th…

growers /Stoners Will my plants struggle to flower if the Nitrogen in the soil remains high all the way through flowering? will the pistols burn?(I think I have seen this already)They are in 2L pots and I think they have been getting a little bit of nitrogen burn lately on leaf tips unless my light has scorched them? possibly because of the worms that live in the pots maybe they have made the soil too rich??

Hi. I read that growing in a fridge was good and could produce a yield of an ounce per plant every 6-8 weeks if done properly. Htere were a few things i was unsure about. 1. Do you still need to fit lights into the fridge and just run them instead of the fridges power? Or, do you run the fridge as normnal and use the built in lights? Maybe someone has a basic grow guide on fridge growing as it would be ideal for me.... Thanks Js&Rs

So, this friend of mine has been growing outdoors. Ha, they're not really ready to throw up too many pics at the moment, they don't look great/big, just after their first bit of a growth spurt. There's 4 all up. One generic crap, one from a REALLY nice lot they were lucky enough to find some seeds in, and 2 imported....or something like that, can't recall the exact specifics. So this person would like to know a few things. To give some information, as I understand it they were ?germinated? in cottonwool and transferred over to a mixture of store bought fert/dirt, and some soaked peatmoss, also had some of those water saver gel beads mixed in. They were last replanted in…
