General Cultivation Q&A

Hi. I'm pretty new to this but I'm an eager learner. Here is my deal. I have an aerogarden that I'm using for cloning (my grow is soil). It works good but I'm only using tapwater and adding a little 3% hydrogen peroxide each day. Thats it. No nutrients or anything. I get roots on all of them EVENTUALLY (some strains much faster than others), usually between 10-20 days they show roots. By the 8th day or so I am seeing yellowing of the leaves and little burn spots on the tips of the leaves where I made cuts. I eventually move them to soil when they are ready but alot of times there are no leaves left at all by the time the roots are enough to transfer to soil. I us…

Hey all Me and my mate are looking into the wonderful world of outdoor growing we are planning to grow out in the bush near were we live , we've had a few indoor crops nothing to major , and I was curious as ive heard a few conflicting things as to preparing your area. I was wondering if its worth the trouble of fertilising the soil before hand or if its a better idea to do it when your transfering plants over ? And what is a good fertaliser to use? Next questions i suppose would be the use of water crystals and wether they are actually worth it? i have heard that water crystals can also soak up liquid fertiliser which can lead to burning the roots could anyone cla…

Hi all, this is my first post on this site. My question is this, Does anyone know of any techniques to getting harder buds? I have been growing in hydro for a while now and it seems im not getting the weight that i could be. My buds seem hard when they are growing, but then when they dry they are more fluffy and weight pretty light. So is there any techniqes for making them hard. Heres what im working with. four 1000 watt HPS over a pipe dreams type system. (PBC PIPING) I have a 12x10 feet room (3mx2and a half m) My light is adequeate for the space. So I have a holiday house, with a room downstairs that is 2.5m by2.5m and about 2.2m tall.... Simple as that...But it gets better the electricity meter is stuck (prepaid electricity) So I dont pay for any electricity.. Its quite a rural sea side village so PERFECT spot to grow... My seeds: Skunk #1 from sensi seeds X10 Shiva Shanti from Sensi Seeds X 10 Early Skunk from Sensi seeds X 10 And 3 white widdow bag seeds And about 5 Chronic seeds (Bag seed) So now the question? With that space what system will yeild alot ....Fast and consistently ... Please HELP

hi does anyones know anything about waterproofing lights, specificaly 200watt + cfl's?? i dont want to hinder the lights strength by covering with plastics. need info asap!!

hey everyone first post. just thought i would let you all in on my first and pretty dodgy grow so far im growing one hell sweet looking baby plant from a bagseed its about a month of and has been thru hell litterally and its only a month old for starters i gave it what im pretty sure is nitrogen burn or too much nitrogen something all leaves started going dark round the edges and brown and stuff so i cut like all of them off pretty much then one day i left it outside and the dog got it when it was about 50mm big there currently growing on top of my tv in my room which is in my cubboard a 20w beam flurescent tube thing and an 8w energy saver in a lamp there on 24 …
