General Cultivation Q&A

I wanna get some seeds in. I'm deciding between PS or HGS. The main reason I wanna use PS is 'cos they have an account in Oz which is convenient. I hear that HGS seeds are better quality and have a better success ratio. They are also generally cheaper and give away free seeds. Can someone who have used HGS let me know what they thought and most importantly, what's the safest way to pay for 'em. I don't want to leave a paper trail and they don't except $AU. Cheers. Rez.

Hi all. need some advice or a diagnosis of what is happening here. Havent seen this before Am growing 3 plants and threw two clones in the spare pot to see if they'd bud up... were going well but one has gotten sick. I am three weeks into flowering. Am running a recirc system under a 600W light with canna nutes at an EC of 1.5 above my tap water(.2). I have good ventilation also.This plant is the only one that is sick. Its yellowing from the inside out. Plant is still real perky and trying to reach for the lights, not limp at all. I have a Run-to-waste setup witch feeds 8x300mm pots with 2 drippers in each pot. The pump that i have running is a AQUA ONE 105 PUMP (2500L/H MaxH 2.6M) Also the hose that joins the pump is a 13mm. Then the 4mm dripper hose comes of that. The problem that i have is once the pump is turned off, the water still keeps pumping through for a while longer because of the pressure in the hose line i believe . How can i stop the pressure. At the moment this is forcing me go into the grow room every night, place the pump into the drum then once finished pull the pump out of drum( the drum is which holds my nutrients) Any ideas,

I'm interested in some suggestions in regards to flushing my WR, I have had the nutes at 1.5 - 1.6 for nearly two weeks now and I am due for a res change. I've read a few differing opinions on flushing between res's and am not sure whether to flush at all, flush with a low EC level nute batch or flush with PH adjusted water. Also how long do I flush for? Should I just run the flush through for a couple of ten minute feeds or for a whole day? Jimbo

I've been looking into going to tafe and get a certificate in horticulture or something along the lines of that. I want to grow and sell fish fruit and veg by having a aquaponics fish farm and I need to learn. So i'm after a course that could help me with growing marijuana hydroponics and aquaponics while learning all about growing plants and fish ect... What my goal outcome from this is to open a small aquaponics farm where I can live and work and produce a income that i could easily live off and grow lots of marijuana at the same time. Well i am looking too build a clonebox out of a spare cupboard i have just using a couple of 48W CFLS for it. Just wondering what you guys consider too be the "optimal conditions" i.e.e humidity: Temperature: soil moisture level: airflow: I will be able too add exhast fans for climate control and was thinking of trying too build a metronome sort of thing too keep the humidity in whilst the fans arent on... like flaps that shut then the fans tun off.
