My second quistion is relatet about the nutrient, for the vegetating period what is the optimum ration of NPK (20-20-20 it is ok? at the moment the are about 10 cm high ) sorry for my stupid questions and my english.

This will be my first time growing and Ive decided to use a hydroponic grow medium rather then soil. Which grow mediums are preferred? I'm assuming that by using a medium i will have to feed the plant with nutrients. Do i mix the nutrients in with my watering system? How often do plants need water and nutrients? Sorry if they seam like silly questions im still trying to get my head around the idea. Peace

I would like to take credit for this but credit is due where credit is due. i obtained this info from the Incitec website (although it obtains to agriculture on a large scale, the plant basics and nutrient requirements are basically the same) Feel free to move this to the appropriate section if you feel it isnt in the right place. Nitrogen Nitrogen in soils Nearly all the Nitrogen in the soil orginates from the atmosphere, which is made up of about 80% nitrogen, The Rocks and minerals from which soils are formed do not contain nitrogen, Most of the nitrogen present in the soil is in the form of organic matter. Organic Nitrogen is however not available for plant uptake…

Hello, Firstly I've never grown a plant before so I don't even know where to start. Before I buy anything (seeds, soil etc) I want to be confident I have a fair idea on what I'm doing. Few points - I live in SE QLD, temps are a pretty consistent 30 degrees now and the rainy season has begun. I'm assuming it's too late to grow anything and I should wait to around September right? I want to grow outdoors. Not where I live though, in some bushland somewhere near where I live. I want to pick somewhere near a water source with lots of existing healthy greenery (i.e. grass, shrubs, trees etc), and preferably near a water source. Somewhere where no one else will likely g…

Hi there, First of all, I couldn't found the presentation section, so I guess there is none, never the less, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm new to growing cannabis, moreover I'm new to Australia (forgive me for my poor english), I'm an international student, studying business in Sydney As I said, I'm new to grow cannabis, more precisely, I'm not even new, since the project is to be started in a few months, but I like everything to be planned well so everything goes as smooth as possible. I've done my researches about growing, and more specifically about growing in OZ. It seems that back in Europe everyone advices to start with soil for your first grow, while most …

Now this is the stage im not so confident with, you know what the procedure is? I now got them under a twin 2ft fluro with gro lux bulbs. Just went under today I found a chato post that said "rockwool doesnt need to be watered every day, dunk the cube halfway into a bowl of tap water for 2 or 3 seconds, repeat the process in 2 days or so when the cube is almost dry again. So i'll try this and see what happens anybody else got a true and tried method id love to hear it. check…

Hi Guys...I need a bit of help here. I have ten kali mist sativas that I am flowering indoors under a 600w, at present they are about four weeks away from finishing with the hairs only just starting to turn red. What I would like to do is pollenate some of the female flowers with pollen I have collected off one of the original males I had when I started to flower from seed originally. I collected the pollen from the males and stored a bit of it in a tupperware conatiner in the freezer as I was told this is the best method of storage. What is the best way to pollenate a female bud?.....I dont want all my buds to turn to seed so I was just thinking of using a brush to…

Just dug a new plot deep in the jungle, problem is the soil is not the best, its a bit clay like. Im used to growing in rich soils and pots that have no need for added nutrients and mediums. Should i use some organic soil activator such as humus, along with a clay breaker or would the humus be enough with some added premium soil mix. Or is there something better i could do?

Ever walked through a tomato hydroponic greenhouse?, do and you will find massive dark green tomatoe plants growing so vigorously that if you stand still long enough they will grow over you and kill you. Ever wondered about the nutes these plants grow in it must be tricked out stuff right, well no. A typical nutrient used in commercial hydro costs no more then 90c a L for the concentrate which is 200EC and can be diluted at 15:1 more then your typical nute from a weed hydro store. So why do stoners pay $15 - $40 for nutrients - well i dont know really. Typically a 2 part bottle of nutes available at your local will contain about 50c worth of raw ingredients. Add in …
