Hello again everyone, it's been a while between posts! I finally decided on buying a Growlush grow tent 1.95x1.95x2m. For lighting I went with one 600w hps and one 1000w mh lamp, I will use this for veg, then when flowering comes I will use 600w mh and 1000w hps. Ventilation will be carried out through a 6" centrifugal fan, which I plan on having outside the tent, connected with the 6" carbon filter, further ducting it directly outside. I haven't purchased a silencer yet, I wasn't sure how loud the fan would actually be, can anyone confirm thier effectiveness? I've got 6 feminized Pure Kush seeds germinating presently, the description along side them says that …

Well, here goes. This thread will be a description and discussion on setting up a simple, recirculating hydroponic growing setup, using expanded clay, designed for use in small scale growing, like in a cupboard. Of course, the system can be expanded on, if you should need to, but this is only a basic setup to get the average newbie to indoor mj cultivation going. Here's a list of what you'll need. This design is for a two plant system, and I won't discuss lighting here. 2 growing containers. - These can be made from nearly any plastic container with a minimum of 10L capacity for clones, or 20L minimum for seed plants. The plastic buckets used by bakeries for mar…

ok nub question here but, are there / is there any adverse effects if you start growing a plant one way then change it later? ie indoor / outdoor combo? for example: i want to start growing some plants, but i go on holiday in about 7 weeks for 2 weeks - so i wont be there to keep an eye on things. and its too short to get a decent grow. so what i want to do it plant the seeds outside in pot plants so i can look after them for now a bit b4 i go on holiday then hope that mother nature will keep em in check for 2 weeks - i can always put a small bit of slow release fert and / or trickle water. so then when i come back from holidays i can get my lights going and bri…

Hey i found this pic on the net.. Is it possible to grow weed in this type of system? I my self am currently growing in soil under a 600w hps but am really wanting to move up to a hydro set-up but a easy one to start with. And this system looks real easy to construct for a beginner indoor grower.. The question is would it work though? If anyone has any ideas on how to improve this system so it could work for weed feel free to throw in your thought's :-)

thinking about buying some outdoor seeds i live in the gold coast so its usaully warm, but wet at the moment the plants would get direct sun from 8:30 till about 5 and non direct from 5:45am-5:45pm temp would usually be about 13-25c i understand the less hours of sun may make it flower earlier, how early is too early? is it too late? should i just wait till the season starts or plant now anyway appreciate your help

Hi guys, Here's one for anyone that's interested in fully organic greens. There's a new totally organic nutrient now available in Aus called Medi-one. It's a 1 part designed for our favourite plant which comes Dr. Hornby recommended, made by Green Planet. Apparently designed for med use... ...Peace Devil..

I thought this might be of interest to coco and or soil growers, unfortunately embedding is disabled so you'll need to watch from youtube - segment begins at 5.55mins and runs for about 2 minutes. ps you don't need the fancy tool they use for taking the samples, an apple corer works fine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SMPNg1DCGE&feature=relmfu

Hi all, I keep hearing how great H&G is so thought I'd do a litle research before giving it a go and found on their website they recomend NOT aerating the res.... WTF? Under the FAQ section on their US site they state: How is the nutrient container prepared with House and Garden nutrients? When preparing the nutrient container, fill it two-thirds with water. First add Aqua Flakes A; circulate well and wait 10-15 minutes. Then add Aqua Flakes B; circulate well and wait for 10-15 minutes. Adjust the pH-value of the nutrient with pH- (Down) or pH+ (Up). Add any root, growth or flowering stimulators. Your nutrient mixture is ready to water. Notice: Do NOT add Aqua …

I've transfered the plants into coco, best thing I've done. I'm using a fairly cheap soil ph meter to test the soil and it came in at a touch over 6. To get the most accurate reading should I water with ph corrected water and measure the run off? And if its higher then what went in put a slightly lower ph water next?

Okay so i got my first female! However- her wonderful strain is unknown What i can tell you is that she is around 40/60 or 50/50 indica/sativa. She has a redish...purple red, underneath her sexy leaves.... I've never seen a plant with red under her leaves (under the bud leaves) One mate of mine said she could be a Mango-Head (I've never heard of that- he said it's a un-common strain grown in high places) Has anyone come accross this strain? we are not sure if it will consume the whole leaf and be red all over. The EXACT colour of her is similar to this image http://kymk.files.wo...2010/10/bud.jpg (Exept her hairs are white (due to the fac…

I am looking to start growing my own but really don't know where to start. I just moved to Melbourne from Vancouver, BC and realizing that this is my best option for a good and consistant weed. I just don't know where to start. I know i will be starting from scratch with seeds and that's all I know so far. If anyone could help me and point me in the right direction with articles and literature that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

In the next coupla weeks there will be a new grow medium coming to Aus called Growstones. It has better water and air retention than expanded clay and perlite and is claimed to outperform other mediums. Its made from expanded/kiln fired recycled glass. It also has readily available silica to help fight that budrot.....sounds pretty good..think i might get me some and try it out....oh...and apparently its replacing hydroton brand of expanded clay which will no longer be available.

Hi all, stumbled upon this site while doing some research on growing the 'erb. It's a semi auto watering setup made in u.s.a, where the water is fed down a pipe to a reservoir with perlite at the bottom with soil on top. Claims the plants take the water they need and no bugs as the top half of the water is dry and doesn't get wet. Anyone on here heard or used this setup? Havent seen any grow diaries with one on here. Let me know what you guys think. http://www.420gs.com/grow-kits.html
