Curly Lawn grub turns into a bettle. Get rid of them!! Will eat you roots and main stem at the base. I’ve seen plants eaten in half by the bastards when younger seedlings.

When I prep garden beds I use a pitch fork and sift the soil and hand pick as many out as the can. My garden soil is infested with them. They sit within the first 30cm of soil and normally pretty close together. Be sure to get both the black beetle and the grub. It’s not only temporary before they come back.

i have had no experience with curl grub but i think they don't like legumes ( bean , peas )

not sure if it's toxic to them or they just don't like to eat them 

 

not going to help in a lawn of cause but " if " legumes are toxic to them might be worth having

them as part of ya beds in some way

I use heaps of clover, pea and alfalfa cover crop so maybe I’m inadvertently helping by cover cropping with legumes. Thanks for the tip itchy.

yep bluey cover crops can def do lots of things , pest control , soil condition , inoculate , fertilize , it's good stuff

Nice, glad to see some healthy soil there. That Regenerate blend is balanced in line with Albrecht ratios so it will help (along with quality humus) to restore soil fertility to depleted soils
