itchybromusic
cool stuff carbthat's quite a shopping list you've amended with there i'd agree with the 90% but also swing the other way & say under watering can cause issues as welldifferent issues from over watering but microbiol issues nonetheless under water & you loose the growing & protecting power of beneficial microbes over water & you set a whole other set of microbes into motion mostly not beneficial hand watering is a tricky business with ever changing outdoor conditions

Carbcon
Thanks guys, A bit from here, a bit from there.3 types of Neem mixed together, 3 different kelps, 2 types of crustacean, all split in the appropriate ratio, stayed around 1 cup per 60 I have had it in my head that I didn't like how coarse the Scoria I was using.Bought some recently and it's lovely, good mix of stones from biggest to smallest. I had wanted to do a hot one. I hope it's balanced. Or will be, either way, I will have something to plant into if not canna. So I wanted to amend the last batch as I think the Scoria has too many bigger stones, I got a clean bag for that mix I reckon so not many fines. Been in storage a few months.Mixed in 6 cups bokashi and 6 cups rice hulls. This soil is what the Buckwheat is in.8l airport. Germinated straight into it when mixed. It's Coots but with coconut, seabird guano and extra alfalfa. Lime is up to match.I reckon this is perfect auto soil now. Reckon may be ok for photos now too. Lots of new bees in garden.I read buckwheat supports the most honey production.

itchybromusic
like checking out your exploits bro don't forget bout those minerals in general nutrient density comes from having all those minerals / rock dust available also if you use aloe to moisten a new mix it'll help to stay wetter a bit longer & root promoting along the way

I will see how it goes, turn it more than I usually do. if I have to cut it with peat down the road, that's cool. I'm liking the Scoria and rice hulls mix.Bokashi has hulls in it too. itchybromusic
how's my eye sight going ay , didn't even see the azomite listed just keep in mind for long term soil no till re usethe rice hulls will break down at some point so choose hulls to scoria amounts carefully i reckon i've play around with 20 to 25% hulls to scoria for aeration in a soil mix but also having new roots growing all the time will also help aerate a pot / bed
Inthewoods
Awesome stuff Carbcon. Can I ask where you get your rice hulls? Mine have pretty much broken down so I need a good sized bag. Last lot I got on ebay but they no longer listed. Love the rice hulls. This time around I didn't have enough in my mix but I'm growing purslane all around the plants now, not letting them get too big and re rooting little pieces. Grows and roots faster than anything else I've tried and it seems to help, also been using heaps of aloe freshly squeezed. My GG Allin has exploded! Carbcon
Barneys LSD stretching nicely. This and the Yantra ak47x ww in same soil and flipped bout a foot.Nice pistil formation, smaller plant in smaller pot jus doing their thing faster? They seem happy despite some spider mites that ain't bad but will require watching. Have had some issues with exposure to open environment.Did a big defol a few days ago, wiped down other leaves. I should be able to outrun them. LSD first pic, Yantra 2nd pic and a side by side. I like these plants. Been good from the start. Edit, didn't defol these plants, did the ones further along.
