gday bob, everyone's different but i like to take mine late afternoon or at night or on a full moon if i can time it right, at the point of harvest ive usually starved mine of water for a couple of weeks, sometimes il bend a branch or a few to make it think it being attacked by an animal or what ever so it freaks out a bit and pushes out as much goodness as it can, water deprivation works the same way, one benifit to chopping them at night or late afternoon is that they dont go limp and soft as quick as they do when the suns out giving you a bit more time to get them trimmed, thats what i do anyways, sorry i haven't got any scientific reasoning, thats just the way i taught to do it and its always worked out well for me, im so looking forward to seeing your work after the chop bob

I’ve seen a Harley smith video with him explaining that lots of chemical reactions that take place in the plant that exist with in the plant , leave the plant during dark period and travel back to the root system, then when lights come back on it takes 30-45 min for the plant to wake up and start its process of growth again this time is usually taken up the time of the sun slowly rising on the horizon, he recommends harvesting after the dark period before the light turns back on, he also advises not to water the plants until lights have been on for 45min - 1hr to maximise the nutrients delivered.. look up his name google videos has a heap on him definitely worth a look covers all topics and this guy is a Gooroo
