Bogan's backyard!

Recommended Posts

I've been companion planting for around 15years and have never looked back, the garden is so much happier when everything is working together to benefit each other instead if competing against each other, companion planting brings a certain harmony to the garden without any extra work, its win/win both ways

This is that mix but in its basic form of 1 season

River loam

inoculated mulch

worm castings

never turned over

Nothing else and its great for seedlings

You can see the mycelium network running and where the roots are below

that they are not .

They attach to it

You will still do well with this mix without anything but water

Just had a read up on mycelium... Interesting, two years or so ago the council cut down a big tree outside my house anyway I got them to drop a pile of fresh mulch in my driveway and didn't use all. I see mushrooms growing by my driveway on and around that heap... Question... Would some of this heap if not all go in the hole for mycelium? Also I have a dog buried in me backyard and thinking dig a hole next to it...

Loud thinking lol
