Question

Looks like another medical cannabis scam is making the rounds on Facebook...

aka SCAMMER ALERT

“Don Medicinal Cannabis” is changing his spots and has begun to specialize in "Medical Cannabis Seeds".

DO NOT trust Don Medicinal Cannabis nor Aussie Medicinal Seed Co... as they appear to be one in the same person/company.

"the Don" has a reputation (on Facebook) for inferior products and not delivering what he promises (taking money and not sending products), he is in the medical canna business for money, zero compassion in his business plan.

If by chance these two 'companies' are not both being run by "the Don", then Aussie Medicinal Seed Co is steeling photos, and that is crap/un-ethical business practice.

The post by Aussie Medicinal Seed Co has been taken down already, got to love a screen grab (however crappy it may be)!

Be smart peoples!

just a few extra screen grabs to prove my point

They can already prescribe it in Qld. That includes GP's and specialists.

For what reasons? Cancer patients and epileptic's?

Have a Dr that would be inclined to sign off on this, for managing back pain and ADHD symptoms in the PM.

If this fits the bill then my workplace cant do crap if they test me!

Medical Cannabis is actually available right now, and has been legal in Queensland for quite a while, via the Special Access Scheme.  Check out the medical cannabis advisory group,  http://medicalcannabisqld.wixsite.com/medicalcannabisqld

Unfortunately, while legal on paper, actually obtaining cannabis via the legislated methods does appear too be a very lengthy process....

Spsugar, have you looked at Yantra pty ltd. ?

Thanks for the suggestion. Have not looked at buying seeds and growing my own yet as that is a whole world I am unfamiliar with, however it may be a consideration. I also have no idea how to determine the difference between good seeds and bad seeds. Looked at their website and noticed they sell different tinctures as well - but again, how would we know if its not a scam like Don? Being scammed once this is our main concern, not for it to happen again.

Hi spsugar,

I apologize for the venom in my original reply, it certainly was not directed at you, but at the current situation that you and many other people are facing, due to a poorly established medicinal cannabis policy at both state and federal level.

Unfortunately, while legal on paper, actually obtaining cannabis via the legislated methods does appear too be a very lengthy process and may not be suitable for your relative (hence my venomous and likely unhelpful original reply).  But if I were in your relatives situation, the first people I would be asking is nurse's, doctor's, wardy's other cancer patient's, admin staff etc, there are potential leads everywhere, you may get a nice surprise.  If that fails, look for the guy with dreadlocks that fits the stereotype.  Or like you said, a drive to Nimbin would get something.  At least you should be able to get something while you traverse the multiple level red tape fest that is currently on offer.

I truly hope your relative can get some relief soon.

All the best

Ford

No worries mate I feel the same frustration! Will pass that link on to my relies and hope their doctor can be helpful. To get the stuff legally would be a dream.

Thanks mate, as mentioned above, will take it up with the doctors! Thanks all for the replies, great community, very helpful.

Wowsers, well that was an informative 20 pages of reading. Unfortunately in my 40 years of life I have learned that money makes the world go round, well apparently it does. I'm super stoked it doesn't make my world go around. Thank you to all whom have had input into this topic it has inspired me to convert my whole current grow rather than a portion of it to high quality oil and proceed to give it away to those whom need it.

Thank you [emoji4]

Unfortunately my mate saw his GP the other day and discussed medicinal cannabis but they can't get it yet. This is in QLD.

Keep on looking around!

Where about is your friend located, feel free to PM, may be able to point you in the right direction.

Did your friend print out relevant information, and the various trials that are operating throughout QLD re epilepsy and arthritis to name the ones I'm aware of...

Also what does he/she need it for, might be able to apply for some of the trials, can look into it for you.

In some ways $'s can be good to move it in the right direction because for the majority of folk they have to see profits investments etc I am talking about the politics that play a part.

So when someone can justify the long term gains from using a cost effective medication, that reduces time in hospital gp visits subsidized medications etc etc, ( I know I'm preaching to the converted but)

All the best with your endeavours. Mullaway is swamped with folks seeking his products, must be horrible to turn away the majority of people and need.

Might be an idea to distance yourself from the actual dispensing or maybe teaming up with Yantra, that is what I would do.

recent news is Llangdon Brown is still operating

he now is charging $13,000 a month up from his original $9000

beware,if you engage this parasite,

the first bottle you receive will be the "bait" ie it will have a good percentage of cannabinoids/terps etc

and subsequent orders will be around 97% alcohol, with a traces of cannabinoids, completely unconscionable

we are all aware at this stage that if you use that watered down medicinal cannabis for cancer/pain it will only palliate you, much like the big pharma mantra

a one to one preparation for cancer will give you the best chance
