Need help! Plants won't flower?

Hi all,

 

So I'm totally new at this and have created an account just so I can ask this. I have read for hours and hours on how to grow but have never actually grown before.

 

I planted some seeds at the end of last december. 1 type was og kush and the other was free so I dont know what it is but its definitely an indica. They germinated fine, grew fine (I have them in pots that hold about 20kg of potting mix), I watered them plenty, but they took ages to flower. The free ones have sort of half flowered but the og kush aren't even close. Have I done something wrong? Both types are still growing but just really really slowly.

 

I thought they should just flower in May-April when the days get shorter?? I am growing only 2 plants (one of each type) in a back yard in sydney.

Do they get total darkness at night or is there a street light or spotlight or something giving them light at night?

You thought right unless they are getting light at night still.

Hey man, as mongy aisd they should flower but wont if there is too much light around. I couldnt grow outside in my yard cos I got a sporting field behind me and they leave the flood lights on most nights.

 

Got some pics?

 

Couldnt imagine the plants having a fun time, im in Sydney too and its cold. Though plants can handle the cold well if the root zone is kept about 18 degrees or warmer.

aaahhhh ok maybe thats it. I think there is a few street lights near by. Maybe not dark enough. So if I move them indoors and put lights on them, 12 on 12 off will they still flower now?

Haha yeh they look miserable. Up until about 2 weeks ago they looked really good but recently they've started dying a little. not too bad but definitely not going well. Ill take some photos this afternoon and upload them.

pull em mate dont waist ya time , they willl prob turn hermie now anyway start new ones off , , the cold nights has deff done alot of damage to , dont waist anymore time with them

 

id just lerave em out the back n start again , dont leave em outside over night this time of year , bring em in under something at night , good luck what ever you do , but prob;ly waisting ya time , trying to flower them now , !!

Anyway my question was, does anyone know how I can grow outside and have the plants ready to harvest by the end of feb? is that possible growing outdoors or simply not a possibility?

Not really possible to do that outdoors Greg.

Welcome to OS Greg! Auto seeds maybe.....prob not in sydney though,id say not,have to go indoors then they can be ready literally whenever you want,cheers

Hi Greg, welcome to OS.

 

If you can bring your plants inside a dark shed or room every night to give them 12 hours of darkness you can flower them anytime you want. Let us know if that doesn't make sense to you.
