Clones from flowering plant?

I have received one clone from a plant that has been put to flowering stage.

So clone now has small two pistols that shows that plant is female, and is old only 2 weeks.

 

I have been told as long as lights are 18-6 it will grow, and will continue to flower when switched to 12-12.

 

is this possible?

 

Anyone had a case like this?

while not ideal to clone once flowering starts if its early on its not a big deal . you might find the clone takes a little bit longer to get established

ya can clone any time in flower..the further in they are, the longer they take..i currently have 4 cuts taken in the 6th week of flower..all have rooted, and they are under 24/0 light to re-veg....

cloning at or after 21 days will make a monster clone. A clone froma reshooting bud. These things look like a cannabis medusa. imo thats got be a plus when it comes to producing clones. I havent really heard any real negatives to makeing a monster clone. If you have a long flower plant making a monster can take a really long time Edited February 18, 2012 by iTiC

its fine its called monster cropping... google it... I do it when i want to make bushes to drop out side or it i want a plant i can take close to 50 clones off at a time

I was always under the impression cloning from a flowering plant was no good. Learn something new everyday! This is seriously good to know.

 

Also, looking into monster cropping now. Seems interesting.

Yep definitely possible, we did it with ours and they turned out fine.

 

It was probably nearly half way through flowering IIRC

hi there , its ok to take cutts any time threw fllower they just take longer to get going ,

 

heres one i took about 5 weeks ago n its been left outside in flowering light not veg , its just starting to put a bit on now , i'll let it bud up for awile then hit it with a light an veg it till next outdoor season , owe i find takeing small cutts handle better than big long cuttings ,

 

i just took this should super crop good for next year ,its the best getting a lil bud low to super crop the branching an tree is down lower , thats the way i like to do it.. there lil crapy so heres 2 best pics

 

 

here it is a few weeks ago was taken near end of flowering was a lil bottem bud

 

 

haha i even give it a full hydro feed couple weeks ago didnt worrie it , i was seeing if i could kill it but i;ll keep this one now

I too thought cloning from a plant which was already flowering was a no no.

Is there an advantage to cloning from a plant which has begun to flower?

Can you 'monster crop' from a younger plant?
