Return of the Jedi...

Recommended Posts

Okay, now to show off my new toys... they're nicknamed yo-yo's, not sure if that's there brand tho... anyway, they're great little tools for training, and I'd suggest them to everyone.

They're just tensioned fishing line, so that they pull down, up, whatever direction you want them to. They don't go slack as the branch grows, like wires can sometimes do. Enough of my bad descriptions tho, I'll let the pics show what I mean...

Amazing growth rate!

So what sort of steroids are they getting? ;)

Just kidding of course but those stems are staunch! Id be calling the plants Lukin [Dean] and Arny [you know the one]. :P

Here's the last shot for the moment, I promise I'll be more regular than I have been... anyway, this is the canopy overall, well, as good a shot as I can get of it. I'm looking to change to flower on the weekend, not much longer than that. the canopy just needs to totally fill out and then it's buds from there. ;)

Oh, and btw, if you're wondering about the red petioles and veins on the leaves, this is a combination of factors, firstly, I've had the sys running at low nutes, as I haven't had my truncheon for the first three weeks of this grow. It had ceased working because some nutrient had gotten into the battery chamber somehow... (I have absolutely no idea how...) and after sending it back to NZ Hydroponics they replaced it with a new unit for nothing. I have nothing but the highest praise for them, prompt reply to my queries and emails, and they got the new truncheon here as fast as was possible. Still, without the truncheon I've been guessing concentrations, going back to 20ml/10l (about 1/3 strength with this nute) at the beginning and slowly rising up now to 30ml/l... As I have the truncheon now, I've got better control, and I'm more used to working things out with a meter now... you can see the red petioles aren't present on the new growth... or at least I think you can. But anyway, it's fading, and it shouldn't be a problem. :P

Well, that's all for the moment, I'll keep things updated every week or so, any suggestions, comments, criticisms and fawning adoration welcome. ;)

Thanks for clearing the red stem thing up for me - I was about to ask why that was happening but decided not to as I thought it might be just strain. You read my mind!

Theyre weird looking plants BTW but excellent health. Do all your plants grow their leaves upwards or is it just this strain?
