To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales.

 

The Petition of...

 

The Australian Cannabis Law Reform Movement, Ellomo Medical Cannabis Pty Ltd, the citizens of New South Wales and the citizens of all other Australian states and territories.

 

Brings to the attention of the House...

Our objection to The NSW State Governments' failure to legislate into law...

 

1- the allowance for easily accessible medical cannabis and...

 

2- easy access to a legal supply of medical cannabis for patients, in accordance with basic human compassion and their obligations under The Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs 1961 and Its’ amendments and other relevant law.

 

The undersigned petitioners therefore ask the Legislative Assembly to...

 

1 - Make all changes to all relevant legislation as required and/or introduce any new legislation as required to facilitate access to legal medical cannabis for any person with doctor approval and...

 

2 - Make all changes to all relevant legislation as required and/or introduce any new legislation as required to facilitate controlled access to a reliable legal supply of quality medical cannabis for those people and...

 

3 - Ask that this be addressed as a matter of urgency to ease peoples suffering.

These bits of paper will eventually end up in the governments hand - with our full names, addresses, and signatures on them. What stops them being used by the police to find a member of the site or their mates who sign?

How could they connect the name on the petition to the OZ stoners user name?

Would they even need to is the point I was getting at. Names and addresses are already supplied - signing something with your details on it could possibly be used straight away, especially if previous offences come up.

Dont be paranoid guys, by signing this does not mean that you use cannabis at all but does mean that you are compassionate enough to not want to see sick people suffer. Only then will the wall of ignorance be smashed down.

Addresses do have to be included for a petition to comply with the rules and be accepted but as ashka said.....

Mongyman I have managed to save the Petition to print but how can I save the whole lot written just above the PETITION. It just contains the whole letter to Parliament whereas the petition form just contains the making cannabis available part. As I intend getting all sorts of people to sign I need the covering letter as conservative people need to feel safe before signing. Hope you understand what I mean.
