I'm going to stop using Big Outdoors post here. I'm doing the wrong thing putting my stuff here, and I apologise, just got carried away. I have a post going with pics, so please feel free to check that. Sorry Big.

I did a bit of research and have decided to go with your theory of chopping the Fan leaves. Went a bit over board but we will see how it compares to my other one.

G'day Big. Mate,I gotta congratulate you, I take my hat off to you. They are marvelous plants. How many ton did you figure on getting? And the pruning looks perfect, just get rid of the large fan leaves, opens them up to more air and sun, gotta be a bonus. In the wild they would be continuously pruned by the wild animals, so it does make sense. There are still ample for the plant to maintain it's health. I've left 1 of mine alone to see the difference at harvest time, around Easter. I see from your pics that there are still plenty of white hairs, so she is still a ways from ready yet, magic, she will be a beast.
