Sunday Night - Channel 7 @ 6:30pm

Recommended Posts

Hmm it was all very dramatic wasnt it.

Oh well i guess old mate and his mum will be sitting pretty cashed up for a couple of months till they blow it on

something stupid, prob alcohol or who knows what else.

Sad thing is there are so many people who just love being pumped full of this SAP from channel seven.

Then happily use it as ammo in there attacks on the herb.

Anyways this has brought up some really well said comments, Budman you always make me laugh, bbudd666 some choice words.

Maybe they should try giving that Hippo some some food with hash oil in it, might calm it down some.

Have a good one all

Hey people.

I have a cautionary tale for you.

I started smoking cannabis at age 15. It has blown my mind. I am stoned at the moment (it is SO addictive, like heroin but worst!). I can't even remember.. What am I doing? How did I get on here? Oh my brain it hurts!! Shhh voices, quite... Stop talking voices... Oh what was happening- can't remember.

Jesus what the biggest load of rubbish. i think that is one of the very worst stories I have ever seen.

I do not trust or buy that guy who can't remember 15 years of his life. What bullshit. How scripted and fake and posed for the camera did it all seem?

Thank god we had that one minute with that woman who said "hangon, there is no proof that marijuana causes psychosis"... But did you see the self righteous stare the reporter gave the woman?

Oh and 10% of all schizophrenia cases caused by psychosis, even knows there is not such evidence. Thats about 1 in 1000 people, wow shit man massive risk.

Well, drug abuse is drug abuse, and it's great that this chap is getting help.

The thing is - if you're doing that amount of almost anything, it WILL have impacts on your state of mind. If you're spending all day every day on the couch, then doubtless you'll get depressed or anxious, etc.

As many others have noted, it seems likely that this guy was using other substances. In any case, it is nigh on impossible to tell where he'd be today and what difficulties he'd have today had he not spent the last 15 years abusing cannabis.

But. . . so what? Let's take legal substances - alcohol and valium, for example. Show me someone who has spent the last 15 years almost continually drunk, or sedated, and let's see how they have been cognitively impaired. In these cases, the substance isn't blamed, but rather the abuse of it. Why the double standard? This level of cannabis use is atypical.

As for me: I smoke daily (of an evening for pain and anxiety - both of which are pre-existing conditions), and am a high-functioning, high-IQ, tenured academic. I am a useful member of society, and cannabis helps me be that.

I never watch those crap programs but the real damage is done when media like talk back radio pick it up and use it to bash cannabis.

It's happening as I write this.

People are phoning in saying this that and everything else has happened to my son or daughter because they dabbled with marijuana.

Even the host of the show has just stated 'it's the greatest con of all time that cannabis is a soft drug.'

All this distorted rubbish just sets back our aim of at least achieving decriminalisation.

You should screenshot polls when they show results that they hate, that way you can actually accuse them of tampering with a poll to get results that they prefer.

However i think the poll was 100% because we were the first people to vote on it, and of course we say Legalise.

it's the day after now, and all the mormon christians and soberists and soccer moms are coming to rape the vote.

Don't get too upset however, Polls are just used in the interest of seeing what the viewers think.

My advice is this, don't waste your time with that kinda shit, sure i wrote an editorial reply to Sunday Night, probably won't ever get any results but that doesn't matter, it's the politics we need to aim for.

educating the general public about the truth of Cannabis is the best way, and GOOD NEWS it's not illegal to rally people to make a political standpoint on Cannabis policy and reforms, i know this i called the Australian state police.

they said "as long as you aren't encouraging or advising people to use drugs, but to make a standpoint in the political area it is legal"

Channel 7 deleted my post!!! It was not abusive in any way or anything.

Can't remember exact words, but I basically just explained that prohibiting cannabis makes it unregulated, which means the government can't control who consumes it or who runs the industry. Which means if you support prohibition then you support teenage drug use and organized crime.

Guess they thought it might hit home with some of there regular watchers.

Gonna keep on posting it!!!

hey jabez... your post is still there, i just seen it, your right above bens sister thats on there trying to follow the story on....:P dopey bitch...

what i find strange though is that on that page the whole right up next to bens pic is all from the oaksterdam university and pretty much for cannabis and making it legal... its all positive to cannabis.. whats the go, thats a complete backflip from what they aired last night.. didnt they get enough support for their bullshit story so now they are providing the flip side.. or is it just that they figure no one will read it online so instead of including positive info on the tv story the just leave it out and print online instead to be hopefully unnoticed by the general public.. and they can claim they have provided both sides to the arguement..what a facade

check it out
