and take it to you usual doctor and talk to her/him

the longer the doctor has known you the better

cannabis is real medicine and they know this

I see my doctor when I want something and don't have the kinda relationship where I'll be disclosing my smoking habits.

 

No way in hell am I seeing a random doctor handing over my medicare card and sussing out his acceptance to me self medicating.

 

Despite the fact I have had a neck injury and would otherwise be consuming a hepatitis inducing quantity of prescribed opiates to counteract the constant thankfully variable pain, there is no way I'm putting myself at potential risk.

 

Maybe I should look into those currently undertaking positive research locally into the effects of medicinal cannabis use.

That doesn't mean turn this into a Doctor shopping circus with daily tours to Nimbin to score.

 

A letter from YOUR doctor means discuss/talk to YOUR own GP for christ's sake about the REAL benefits,..... hey he/she may even agree

 

There are genuinely desperate people with shocking severe pain injuries, MS, terminal cancer etc let's not fuck this up for them by being too eager or dare I say it, too SELFISH

Given the amount of charitable donation I make or the fact I'll lend a hand or provide some guidance where I can to anyone that asked nicely enough I'd say I was far from selfish.

 

If the doctor is prepared to put his name and profession on the line to write a letter that is one day likely to be used as evidence than I'd say he/she would likely be prepared to make that known in some circles.

 

As for me, I have ready access to my medicine if required; I was only thinking of others who might not be in the same situation.
