60 minutes is working on a story about the failed drug war

Recommended Posts

michael and i were reasoning dis today

they have not contacted him as yet

he knew nothing about it

however

michael is open to it

when i asked if he would turst sixty min to deliver his mesage

he said no

but he would still dowit

we are right

make it easy for them to join we

his vibe is to go so

all publisity is good and will create the contraversy needed to start people talking

but

i still feel away bout dis

canna help it

i mean

sixty minz has been so unethical in the past

guidance and protection

For sure. There was a time when 60 minutes could be trusted for some decent journalism. That time has sadly passed and it's now just as trashy as ACA. I wouldn't trust em. Still, good to see they're taking notice.

As with every report 60 Minutes does. They seem to have a predetermined view/opinion to put across. I haven't yet seen what they plan on reporting this week. But just watch how a story unfolds, to tell the yarn the way they want it portrayed. They've developed it into a fine art.

Personally, I wouldn't trust em as far as I could kick em.

Yeah, 60 minutes can no longer be classed as journalism, it's simply just another shock jock show looking for ratings.

The only show we really have in Australia that's still interested in 'real' journalism is Dateline. What we need to do is get insight interested in doing a show about cannabis, now that would be awesome. It would be the only chance we have to put the topic to the government in a public forum without them making us look like a bunch of junkies.

It could also be a setup. The media are so ethical these days they may be doing a story on the deadly drug skunk again :D You have to love the media - first they are lambasting governments and then attacking governments after influencing their decisions in politics. I'd be inclined to say that thank you I always have wanted to be a show that promulgates hysteria and fear among the populace - be afraid, be very very afraid and do they know of anyone decent who is covering the story?
