I too applaud you Rock and though at times I do question the wisdom of some of your methods, I completely agree with the sentiments behind your actions.

This religious bigotry that denies God's gift of the Cannabis plant from His people must be fought at every level in every way until it is removed.

As you said most people will not fight for what they believe and prefer to keep their heads down. I too was guilty of that for many years. I have in recent (last 10) years have been fighting the good fight trying to educate those I meet on the lies being told. I have confronted pollies and others that promote these unjust laws and told them exactly what I think of their laws and hypocrisy.

My methods are different my sentiments the same. Shortly my fight goes public....

IMO the main reason he'll lose this fight is because he's on his own. If every ozstoner tried to get arrested tomorrow for a minor cannabis related charge and then fight that charge as strongly as what rock has.. then we might actually cause a bit more than a ripple.

 

Currently, most people either plead guilty straight-up and just cop these bullshit charges, or they have a bit of a rant about pain relief in the hope of reducing their fine a bit.

 

Do they have enough prison cells to lock up every stoner who refuses to pay their fine for these bullshit charges?

 

..I suppose they'd probably manage to build them quick enough to accommodate us

Stoned people can function perfectly well. Thats one of the greatest things about pot. Are you saying that no one who smokes is fit to stand trial? Are you implying that pot smokers cannot function properly?

With respect, it is that kind of legal argument that has helped turn public perception against cannabis. It reinforces the myth that cannabis causes mental illness or that cannabis smokers are unable to function.

 

Peter Till uses cannabis as medicine. Wouldn't it be a bit silly to argue that the medicine he claims is doing him good, harms him in such a way as to make him unable to function in court?
