I doubt many people will agree with me but:

 

Marijuana should stay illegal to preserve genetic identity. Those Dutch bastards have already stuffed up cannabis genetics enough.

Because cannabis is a wind pollinated plant, There would be great restrictions on what you can grow, as the cannabis factories won't want seedy buds.

I believe female only strains may be the only thing available to the public limiting the homegrowers chances for strain improvement.

Also buying drugs off some hippy, helps keep money out of the hands of the rich. Sure it hurts the economy, but it helps keep that money away from the corporations.(for a while, anyhow) Many people will lose their source of income and be left stranded, as the tobacco farmers will be growing all the pot. Cannabis is one of the last things on Earth, that hasn't been exploited by faceless corporations. (except Canada and Holland, and the mafia)

Just like happened in Holland, Cannabis strains will be abused by plant breeders who don't know what traits are good in cannabis. In Holland in the early years, breeders selected for traits like hairyness, which makes calyx size smaller and makes less room for resin glands to develop. Also they inbred already stable strains and generally added skunk genetics to almost every plant available in Holland.

It opens the door for other drugs to be legalized, especially when people say that the medical value of cannabis is a reason why it should be legalized. Opium is much more useful than cannabis in treating the Ill.

Of course, opium is way better than cannabis for some medical conditions but its used mostly as painkiller but Cannabis is great for some conditions like glucoma, there has been tests that cannabis actually slows the cancer growth....and many other medical conditions.

 

I really can't say or make any comments about the Dutch... I haven't seen or whatever firsthand experience of their ways how they do all the breeding and stuff.

 

Not all drug dealers are "Hippy"....... I arent one of these "Hippies" ........ they wouldn't lose their "source" of income from selling pot, there's other ways to make money from cannabis even while cannabis is legal..... like cafes, grow shops, hemp, even tourism!

 

I want cannabis to be legal, I dont give a shit about the rest as long I can grow many plants without worrying about the fellas in blue. Once Cannabis is finally legalised in Australia, I am sure we all will be happy campers, its the dealers will be not be a happy campers, but I dont give a shit about them anyway.

Opium is not a good option for medicinal use because its so highly addictive. Thats whats so great about mj, virtually no withdrawl symptoms for most people.

Most dealers I have met, including "hippie" ones, buy in 99% of what they sell, the people they buy their ounces from get it by the pound from someone else that probably buys it by the crop or from an importer/distribution warehouse.

 

Seems to me that the dealing of cannabis is already pretty much commercialised, but as a home grower for personal use I don't give a stuff about that, it's not my problem.

 

During my time on several major and minor cannabis sites I have rarely heard growers have anything but praise for Dutch strains, I would place them second only to Australian strains.

g'day; anyone who states that drugs including marijuana should remain illegal, are saying they support police corruption, they support international drug importers, they support the black market and they also say that it is ok to sell to 12 year old, legalise and regulate is only positive action than can solve the problem.

quality of genetics will not deteriorate, the Dutch have not harmed the genetic quality of cannabis (imo).

by legalising, knowledgable growers will be able to perfect their genetic lines without fear of confiscation and jail term.

 

all dealers are thieves barr none. $25 for 0.8gm is absolutely disgusting. grow it dont buy it.

The Dutch have fixed alot of their strains, but mistakes they made were things like, with the original skunk seeds and other early US introductions they chose for small calyx size, for commercial red appearance, and sweet smell. As well as selection for long stalked trichomes with small resin heads. I think it was maybe Soma seeds that reintroduced skunk from california, Now the Skunk variety they wrecked is called orange bud or red haired skunk. Other strains like Northern Lights & Hash Plant were brought over only as female cuttings. That is why (sensi) Hash Plant still to this day is HP x HP/NL.

But dutch strains are excellent now, Although most of my favourite strains originated in US or BC. Strains like Black Domina, All the Greenhouse white widow line. Jack Herer, etc... are great.

 

When I said hippies I didn't mean hippies, but the poorer dealers. Not the Swimming pool 3 car nice area dealers. These guys will have the money to start up a cafe, etc... I'm sure it'd cost heaps to get a license to sell the stuff.
