Hi all I need some info. on 5.5" sq. pots, I have a 3'x3' tray and would like to put 25-5.5" pots in this with perlite in pots.

 

I would like to place clone in each one veg for 1 week then 12x12 them I have lots of head room. Would this work out and give me decent yield like 3 buds per plant.

 

I did this with Lowryder last year and turned out ok..

 

The reason behind this is my scrog grows I seem to screw up all the time, they just seem to get out of hand for me...

no reason why not thats a pretty standard sog setup.

 

strains most suited to sog produce one big cola with minimal side branching. Judging from how they grow you may want to veg them a little longer if you got plenty of head height and trim off any excessive side branching to prevent overcrowding (buds touching each other = mould) and also so the plants focus all their energy into the main colas which should give a better yield...

perlite is not reccomended for flood and drain systems use expanded clay also you'll need some type of top end support once the root system is estabilished on the flood cycle the pots will float and fall over without any support its happen to me

the idea of SOG is u cut the side branches off leaving just the main cola and maybe a side branch or two IMO the hash plant aint that good of a yelder and for SOG not worth it look for something that grows a huge main cola like the Chronic
