Was looking at Can fans (the brand) and in particular their centrifugal fans... I see that they are running on 110V..... I know some stores here in OZ stock them. Does anyone know if they are able to be run here on 240V... I was undertheimpression a convertor needed to be used... cheers stoners.... Last reply by 870621345, Last reply by 870621345,

Next grow season I'm thinking of starting my seedlings under lights before I move them outdoors once they're around 4-6 weeks old or until they've outgrown their indoor space. I plan on creating a mylar covered enclosure with the top NOT completely covered so air can move freely in/out, the dimensions will be 57cm x 100cm and 120cm tall, the room the enclosure will be in is large and cool but is not well ventilated with fresh air. I plan on filling the enclosure with 10+ seedlings and using a 12/12 light cycle, I have access to 80 W and 24 W CFL lights (both 6400K), which are more appropriate considering they're for seedlings and the small dimensions of the enclosure? a… Last reply by Faith,

hi all my grow room is 3m x 1.6 and 2.3high I am running at the moment a 1000w epapillon running 18hrs and have a 8inch canfan running all day. with everything running it only gets 22c in there so I bought a growlush fan speed controller slow the fan down to make it hotter but the motor makes an awful humming noise even when backed off 10%. Just would like to know if you can put the fan on a timer say 15mins on 15mins off for example or dose that cause problems. and can you get any other controller to work without it making that humming noise Thanks all Last reply by Earthling, Last reply by Earthling,

Hi guys, I currently veg my clones under a 250w MH to about a foot high before sticking them outside to flower in winter. I have a new batch of clones ready to go but have just been surprised with a fishing trip to NZ by my girlfriend in a months time. My question is to veg these clones faster so I can put them outside before I leave would it be better if I used a stronger light say a 600W? Or should I just try and increase the nute levels to the maximum they can handle. Any advice would be appreciated Last reply by raven6,

Hi guys, I'm a noob and needed advise on the correct cfl to use on seedlings.I already have 6400 and 2700 cfl's ready to go but read somewhere the other day not to start seedlings on the 6400 because it to much. They went on to say use a 23 watt cfl to begin with.I'm confused, but if this is correct then when should i change to the 6400 or should i just start with the 6400 cfl.All advise welcome, and thanks Widowman Last reply by widowman, Last reply by widowman,

Going to get myself a 1.2 x 1.2 x 2 meter tent and wondering what fans you guys would recommend.. Im also wondering what you guys find to be the quiter running fans.. This will be my only intake as well... CF > fan > outside I would like something that I dont have to run at full speed to get the negative pressue.. I have heard someone else on here mention its good to get a bigger fan and dial it back to assist with noise.. so any brands that have a controller included would be good.... Thanks Last reply by Midget, Last reply by Midget,

Hey all. This is more of a query and to see if there would be interest before I start a classified ad. So, my work place is currently replacing all it highbays lights (400w MH) with LED versions. There should be 22 units up for grabs. Electronic ballast, E38 light fitting, 400w MH lamp and big dome shade. Also I am unable to say how old they are/hours used, sorry There is a thread on here somewhere that shows how to convert them to separate ballast and fitting but I'm unable to find it, although its a fairly easy process! My boss haven't said a price yet but If anyone is interested, let me know and ill find out exactly what sort of price they are looking at. It wont… Last reply by Naycha, Last reply by Naycha,

I am in need off some seasoned advice please. I just bought an entire new set-up and this is what I have. 5'X5'X8' Tent, 1000W ballast and bulb, CO2 genny, 8" fans for lighting and ventilation. I have been using LED's in a much smaller tent and would like a little help with setup for instance: What is the max (give or take a few) temp inside the tent when using 1000W with CO2 level of 1500ppm? I am using an oscillating fan and 2 static fans for air movement. I turn my vent system on every 3 hrs. to cycle the air and provide fresh CO2. After my 12/12 I use the vent system until it's time to start over the next day. Using Advanced Nutes full pH perfect line in … Last reply by obliterated,

Hi, Recently I have been noticing that my light isn't turning on sometimes. I need to unplug, then replug it in to fire it up. Light is a 400w son-t agro and ballast is a solistek 400/600 digital. Timer is a manual type with the dial on the front, not the cheapest model they had. I don't think its a timer issue as when it happens, the ballast light is on which means power is going through. I believe that narrows it down to the ballast or the globe. The globe has seen 20+ weeks of growing, is that old? and do old globes sometimes have probs firing up? I believe that my ballast is meant to keep attempting to fire the lamp unless there is something wrong. Anyo… Last reply by jez1, Last reply by jez1,
