Fan wiring

Hi all I picked up a new vent fan that needs to have a plug installed but the wiring digram has me a bit stumped. Please correct me if Im wrong but this is what Im leaning towards Blue=Neutral Brown=Live Black=speed controller White=Earth??? Its the white thats got me confused. Any advice would be welcome. take a tape and measure (in meters) the length, width and height of your grow tent – this will give you the cubic area of the tent then multiply this figure by 60 (the number of minutes in an hour) which is how many times you want the area exchanged in a hour here’s an example: my grow tent is 1.2 M x 1.2 M x 2M so 1.2 x 1.2 x2= 2.8 cubic meters in total 2.8 X 60 =172.8 cubic meters an hour needed and here’s a quick approximate guide to the size of fan for what size area you are growing in Sizes: 4″/100mm – 175m3/hour 5″/125mm – 225m3/hour 6″/150mm – 420m3/hour 8″/200mm – 750m3/hour 10″/250mm – 1000m3/hour 12″/315mm – 1300m3/hour However! any 90º be…

Got a crazy ventilation Idea I have been toying with for the new room. Rather than trying to scrub the air from the room I have been contemplating discharging the direct down the sewer line. Pretty simple idea. Cut 100mm junction at the end of the sewer line and run to outside room Run flexi to new vent point Install AAV on house vent(one-way valve so smell doesn't come out the house vent) Pump discharge to sewer system Any logical reasons this wouldn't work?

Wouldnt even the cheapest crap on eBay be infinitely better than anything one would buy from a commercial appliance store, like the one's Dyson and such make for purifying air? When looking at these $200+ units from Harvey Norman, jbhify and such their major feater is "carbon filtration technology!"(bet they contain fuck all compared to even a small grow room cf filter), and they only other filtration they have is HEPA filters(really? wow). Am I missing something? eBay 4 inch cf and duct fan $70 pretty much anything from electronics stores $200+ thanks for any input

Hey guys. Looking at ventillating my 800x800x1200 tent that i have some plants vegging in till mid october to then go outside. Iv just orderd a 6onch exhaust fan and some 6inch ducting. I plan on running 1m of ducting from bottom flange on tent then exaust fan on top with ducting exiting top flange on tent. What do you put on end of ducting to keep pest out?? And do you think 1 metre on bottom flange will be long enough to not cause any light leaks? Im a complete noob when it comes to this. Any help wld be much appreciated, cheers

It's been some time, and I really am not well enough to do this, but if I want to stick around I have to grow again. I've been reading up and I want to go with CMH 315s. I've never used 315s before, though I've done lots of reading about them (and other lighting). I would like to buy an Illuminati SG Night light (true green light) for use during dark period. The only ones I can find are all located overseas and described as 110V screw in. I recently bought some Phillips son-t and the boxes said that they are 110-240v, various sources give Son-T info as the lamp being 100v and "voltage" 230V (which thoroughly confuses me). So the question is... will the 110V lights be ok in 240 socket or will they explode or something diabolical happen?

Hey Everyone, Ok, so I need a little help deciding on some led lights. Now there's a bit of a catch and that's it needs to be done as cheaply as possible. The reasons for wanting to go with led is my current setup is extremely hot and noisy. So I've got a 400w hps in my space. I can tell by my light meter that I'm not getting to the edges on one side no matter how I adjust it. I'm not in a tent so don't get any reflectivity off walls. Any harm putting one of my viparspectra 300s which I normally use for Veg on the edge and having it work there? Or is it better to leave it out altogether? Any downsides? Guys, Looking for advice. New tent setup, 1.2 x 0.6 x 2m to run a two plant scenario. Was tossing up between 600w hid or 2 x 250 watters. I was thinking the 250 watters would provide better tent coverage but would like to know what you think. All comment appreciated.
