An alleged drug farm which used an elaborate irrigation system to grow cannabis has been raided by NSW police. More than 1500 marijuana plants — with an estimated street value of $1.5 million — were seized from the property in Mudgee in the state's central west. Four men were arrested at the scene and are being questioned. The cannabis plants were ripped from the ground and will be destroyed in a large burn-off, police say. I BET NO ONE CALLS IN SICK WHEN THEY DO THE BURN-OFF!!!! WANKERS!!!

The new legislation, an Australian first, will be aimed at combating the sale of equipment for cultivating hydroponic cannabis. Police Minister Michael Wright said the move would make it easier for police to track who was buying the equipment. "If you are using the equipment to grow tomatoes then you have nothing to fear but if it is for growing cannabis then you can expect a visit fr…

Hi. Just a heads up (or down depending on ya circumstances) to anyone in the Nimbin/NSW FNC area. The chopper arrived yesterday (mon 2/2), apparantly they did Moondani just south of town, they also did around Tuntable, Avalon at Stoney Chute, and the Area between Lillyfield community heading East to Blue Knob, including Lofts Pinnacle Rd on the border of the Tweed and Kyogle shires. This morning (Tues 3/2) they did finished up at Lillian Rock and appear to be heading toward Barkers Vale as of now(the time of typing.) Flying Grid patterns. I'd say they will spend the rest of the day around barkers Vale and probably head elsewhere, like the Channon/Terania Valley, …

http://www.police.nsw.gov.au/news/latest_r...CZhbGw9MQ%3D%3D Did anyone else see this on the News last night? Australia started as a penal colony - although without the history books I'd have guessed as a mental asylum - and now we've come full circle. Just imagine how good it will be when a police officer can arrest you if you refuse to give your fingerprints! I'm feeling safer already!

Oh shit. Looks like were following the good 'ol fascist state of U.S. down the track of private prisons, I suppose the useless govt. here can't organise a root in a brothel even with the ludicrous amounts of tax they steal from us so foisting out incarceration services is the next money-saving, responsibility dodging scam from the NSW gov. "The former Unions NSW boss John Robertson will be sworn in as Minister for Corrective Services today at a time when the Government is moving to privatise prisons. Mr Robertson will also be Minister for Public Sector Reform and Special Minister of State. Monaro MP Steve Whan will be Minister for Emergency Services and Small Busi…

Mr Till wanted to appeal against convictions for possession of a dangerous drug. One of the convictions related to an incident in which he tried to carry two cannabis plants into the Brisbane Magistrates Court last year. Mr Till refused to answer to his name during today's court appearance and spun…

THE free-wheeling days of buying cannabis and pot smoking at Nimbin's Hemp Bar and the Nimbin Museum are over – or so it would seem. The Nimbin Hemp Bar has been revamped and reopened as part of the Hemp Embassy and will not tolerate drug deals and smoking on the premises. The Nimbin Museum has installed cameras to help stomp out drug dealing. A fence is being built beside the notorious Rainbow Lane. Museum founder and operator Michael Balderstone confirmed his associate Elspeth Jones had applied to take over the museum. Lease negotiations are still being finalised. Mr Balderstone said two of the four museum security cameras have been stolen. Hemp activist Gar…
