http://www.geocities.com/chronicfarming/chapter/breed.html Since there seems to be so much confusing information floating around concerning breeding high-quality strains, I've taken it upon myself ot clear the air - and in plain English that your average basement botanist can understand and actually put to use. Some of the confusion around the issue of F1s and F2s is self-perpetuating. Bad information handed around freely. If you can grow high-quality plants, you already possess the necessary elements of a solid breeding program. Granted, you need a good seed to start with, but if you're interested in breeding, a few very simple guidlines can virtually assure success …

My summer outdoor grow is up. 12 (even dozen) seeds germed in Coco. I used an empty egg carton to germ them in. :sly I've grown these before. Amongst them is a strain of a "purple nimbin seeds"........ but I wont know untill they flower. Late in flower the whole plant turns purple. with a lot of luck I will get a male and then cross it with another strain I have which is a 50/50 Oz Hybrid that I grow indoors (see pic # 2), the beauty of the 50/50 is it is a 45 - 50 day finisher. :thumbsup The 50/50's I put outdoors last month to aclimatise to outdoors for sumer , but a buit early & now they are in flower mode with pistals showing & tight dense buds. :w…

Cannabis Plant Growth and Anatomy 101 Part A Plant growth is primarily based on two conditions: Genetics and environmental conditions. I havent taken either into account whilst writing this, and this another extremely in depth topic in itself. The growth rate of certain varieties can vary within and particular geographical race and genetic makeup of the strain, the growth curves are always characteristic of the varieties. Plant development is dependant upon temperature and the availability of nutrients and water. This guide is not a step by step grow guide, it is merely a reference for information on the Cannabis plant anatomy. I hope it helps and educates others, and …

I read a few posts about trichome magnification as a means to determine harvest time. If anyone's interested, I spotted these on ebay. There a few available with a few days left (just look at "sellers other items") and as long as it turns up :scratchin , the price is right. I got one for AU$ 0.99 plus about $16 to fly it over. Looks to be German made. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...me=STRK:MEWA:IT

Hi all, some (most of my last Haul all jared up) I have decided on a scrog grow this first tme to open 2006. I am looking to downsize my grow without loosing yield. My strain: 4 x 50/50 Oz Hybrid. Indica dominant, not previously done this plant using this method (scrog). It's suitability is questionable due mostly to the "limited streatch" of 12" when I go 12/12. More satvia dominant plants streatch up to 2/3 the size when you go 12/12 .......... thems the sacrifices one makes for yield. B] Method/Equipment: SCROG ......... net set at a height of 2'. The net is 1 x 1.2m in size and made of 'plastic tr…

Hey guys... this will be one of my last questions before I begin growing I'm planning on having my cabinet in a medium/large underground area of my house. its basically just dirt and pipes down there, with no ventilation or fresh air possible I've been worried obviously about air supply to my plants... I mean even the intake fan/duct will be just intaking old, crappy air.... Would getting my plants the right amount of good air simply be a matter of getting some sort of carbon dioxide system (maybe some of those tablets or something that dissolve into the air)? Is co2 _all_ the plants need from the air, if they are fed properly? I'm really worried about the air …

Well, those of you who have read and responded to me during this grow, yes, everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. With this grow, my plants got so large, they completely filled my grow space and more. My grow area is only 18" x 30" and I used 2 x 5 gallon containers. At 7 weeks, I flushed the plants, one of the rare times I pulled them out. On one plant, I cut a bud in the middle to check it out and after microwaving, I found a seed in it. Closer looks at the other plant and I found at the bottom what looks like a couple of clusters of seeds. What should I do? Should I cut those pods off now? If not, what kind of plants would they grow? Any response welco…

Wrote this up at CelticStone originally. A member told me to move it here because he thought it was good info *shrug*. Hi Guys, thought I might write up a quick tutorial/overview or primer on organics and organic growing... I've recently fallen in love with the results of organics on both MJ and normal garden and vegtable plants. So ok, here we go. "What is organics?" Well, organics is essentially using processes that mother nature has already setup to grow your plants rather than simulating different environments with various mechanical and chemical systems as per typical hydroponics. Organic growing isn't limited to "Soil" grows, you can apply organics to hydrop…

Grow sheet Taken from www. growell. co. uk/ Lets you keep a weekly track of Feed/Nutrient, Additives, Lamp Size, Lamp Type, Lamp Height, Room Size, Air Exchange (m / hour), Lights on temperature, Lights off temperature, Humidity(RH%) among other things for veg cycle and bud cycle. The PDF is the original and best copy. The JPG picture and ms word DOC were created from the PDF. I personally think it needs a few tweaks but its a place to start. Mods: Please move if you think it should be in another section. The original PDF blank_grow_sheet.pdf Converted into a picture Converted into a Word document grow_sheet.doc

If seeds do not germinate, Here is a good method... Line the inside of a matchbox with LIGHT Sandpaper...Put your beans in there and shake it for a good 30 seconds...this will make the shell of the seed more brittle, soak it in water for 24 hours and you should have a dick pointing out of the seed... :thumbsup

Hello I was reading about Drying and Curing and I found a peice that said "If the plants are sprayed with Ethrel early in their growing stage, they will produce almost all female plants. This usually speeds up the flowering also, it may happen in as little as two weeks". Has anyone heard of this and does it work? If It did, it would be a beauty!! N
