Any people from brisbane who have grown during winter outside? Do we have enough long days in winter and decent weather to have an outdoor grow. I'm ok if I dont get a decent cash crop just want to practice before August- September which I'm told is best time to start. What do you guys use to keep spider mites at bay? I think we may have that issue currently at our house with other plants been chewed on. Would love to get thoughts as well as products attached as images. Hi, First time growing. This is the 7th week since seed. Trying to learn. So far had a few fuck ups and almost killed the plants but well, they survived Done little bit LST (bent the main stems), topped once, and yesterday put them under a scrog, well sort of. Can you please check the photos and tell me if you spot anything that is obviously wrong to you? Is it too low to scrog? Left side one (og kush) have many tops but can't get the right side one (northern lights) be the same/similar (only 3-4 tops). How long more should I wait before switch to 12/12? My space is limited, do I wait the canopy to cover the space or will the growth in flowering do that, so th…

Was thinking of giving some autos a go once my photos are finished which will be around June. Just wondering how much they're affected by the time of year. I know that they will obviously be effected by the amount of sunlight they receive but will I still be able to achieve a decent grow if I were to start them around July? I'm in central QLD so winter is mild and daytime temperature still gets in the mid 20s. I grow outdoors and would grow them in a hydroponics setup in coco/perlite while I cover crop where I plant in the ground in prep for next season. I have never grown autos so any advice on growing or good strains for my region will be appreciated. Posted from the…

Hey guys, spent the last of my budget on a completely wrong light for my set up so a friend offered me this for free - https://www.hydroexperts.com.au/Red-Compact-Fluorescent-CFL-Flower-Kit-150W-2700K-10200LM I have done a fair bit of reading online but still unsure due to all the mixed opinions if it is safe to grow with only a red cfl. Has anyone gotten decent results? it is only for a small stealth grow 3x4 ft. Cheers

So if anyone saw my diary, I rushed into this cooler design and have now backed out to think on it more. I think I need another hole on top and to get rid of the hinge if possible Has anyone else used an esky for DWC?

From what I've researched autoflowers like constant light through veg as they flower by age not light exposure and due to their fast-growing nature, they like having a constant light source -- even at night (happy to be corrected if I'm wrong). Have noticed her stretching a bit overnight when she's inside, I'm growing outdoor. I wanted to try to give her a bit of light to tide her over at night so she doesn't end up as a lanky mess. Thing is, this is my first grow and I haven't even scratched the surface with the basics let alone lighting. Did a brief read up to get SOMETHING while the weather is bad for the next few days as well as night time. Is this going to help or am…

I have planted late this season but just a question on ideal times to start your season grow outdoors. I am currently in central QLD but done most of my previous grows in FNQ. Up there you had to deal with the wet season so I would usually plant in February or March sometimes even later as you had to deal with the wet and all the problems associated with it. Here in CQ obviously we don't have the rainfall to deal with so changes things up for me. Its a long way away but just planning ahead for next season and after advice for the ideal time to sow my seeds in my current location. I knew others that planted a lot earlier up there and had success when it got through the wet…
