Hey there, just wondering how long on average peeps keep the same strain? Im asking more directed at how often people want the challenge of 'learning' another strain. For example in my experience different strains prefer higher or lower ec etc..... Are there other considerations people take?

Alright so I want to start growing, I'm going to be getting some seeds off a mate in about a weeks time. I'm going to be growing outdoors in the bush near by where I live. Now I have no experience what so ever on growing so if someone can give me a guide on growing outdoors that will be great! Also all tips are greatly appriecated. I'm wanting to grow around 5-10 plants in this bush, what area should I be planting them in? Should I be planting them under shade, or right in the open? When do I have to water them? Is it to late to start growing? Like I said I know nothing what so ever so any knowledge given to me would be mad. Oh and these are called bushys hey? Cheers.

Hello fellow growers, I am generally curious about growing my first plant for personal use as I use this stuff from time to time. Some of the questions I have are: *what seeds do I use? *how do I grow a plant if I'm at college? Does it take a lot of space etc? *does the plant have to be at a constant temperature, receive so many hours a day of sun/water? As you know, I'm a UNi student and 3/5 of a year I spend at college so I was wondering what is suitable for those conditions. Cheers for any help, Woo

I'm about to embark on an indoor grow and am keen to get a harvest asap. I will be using regular seeds from Southern Star Seeds and have read so much info my head is swimming with the best way to go about it. I was thinking of planting 15 or so seeds and veging for minimum time [say 2 weeks] before going 12/12 but was reading Cervantes' Marijuana Horticulture and he says that inducing flowering before plants show pre-flowers can cause hermaphrodites. Which way to go? Should I sex them by reducing the light period very early, weed out the males and then increase photoperiod again for a while before inducing flowering [seemed like it would take too long for my liking…

Hi guys! So I live in Sydney and I am looking at doing my first grow in a national park in an area I know quite well which never ever has anyone near and is not visible from any bush paths ( could only see it if you went pointless bush bashing )... Anyway I was wondering a few things. How easy is it to get seeds through customs? How easy is it go grow low ryder 2 - auto flowering fem, and Og kush ( normal seeds) outdoors away from home? Finally do the products I have purchased for this particular grow of both the above suit them? (pictures should be below) I only want enough from these small simple autos like low ryder 2 just to use every now and then. The rest I will t…

Okay so I am using a 400w HPS light in a grow tent lined with mylar film. I have a fan in the tent to keep some nice ventilation going. In veg, my light schedule is 14/12 and in flower my light schedule is 12/12. I have cultivated some pretty nice plants using fox farms nutes but all 4 plants I have grown have all turned male. My luck is great, I know. I recently ordered some femininized seeds to help my terrible odds. I also use fox farms soil in 1 gallon pots. Any tips? Thanks any and all criticism will be helpful.

Hey guys, i was just curious to see if anybody has tried to grow a plant from seedling for about 2 months if that, in soil, keeping it in its vegetative stage indoors under lights, then dumped it outside at the start of november to let it finish its life cycle outdoors, (flowering season is around about the start of february in my part of the country). I was thinking of doing this with getting results of some big plants, i know it also depends on the strain and many other things, but say if it was a strong sativa that was renown for growing 8ft+ would it do well ? and what strain would you recommend ? First post so hope it isn't too shabby, anyways, bong on!

I'm a first time grower & have received conflicting info & advice from friends & media but I figure if 9 out of 10 people say something works then its a good chance it will. So far I'm about 4 weeks in to the flower cycle using Canna Aqua in a recirculating hydro system in perlite and things were going a bit slow due to what I figured to be a bad environment, being winter the temp in the room was 20deg with light on & 15 with it off, relative humidity was high 60s light on & high 70s light off, after putting in CO2 tablets, a heater, dehumidifier, a circulation fan & a inlet fan (was relying on vacumm from exhaust) a week ago the light on temp is n…

Just over a month ago I checked some plants and I was like I might give cloning ago without any real idea or knowledge how to. I cut three low growing growths plant was about two weeks into flowering. I got a Chinese plastic food container filled up with water and cut three holes in it and cut some Styrofoam up and cut three holes and sat it on top of the container, then placed the off cuts into the holes. changed the water every 1-3 days to keep the water fresh as I don't have an air bubbler. But 3 weeks later I transferred them to soil as I didn't see any growth but they weren't dieing. now its been two weeks and I transfer them to a bit bigger pots and the roots have g…

I wanted to set up an indicator of sorts to let me know when a grow has finished its drying stage. To date all I could find are methods that have to disturb the plant as its drying. I want to keep my hands off the girls for as long as possible in an attempt to keep the sweet sugar right where it belongs. This would be a good sized branch with a cuppla buds on it from the lower branches. I've attached a peg to the end of the stalk as the big heavy wet buds dry they become lighter than the pegs and they pop up into the air. Here they are after one night drying. The other cuttings, in a ventelated dark area, remain undisturbed until this one is finished drying. The last tim…
