A friend gave me this little plant from bag seed he had outdoors and it had started flowering really small. I threw it in the cabinet with my autos on constant 20/4 and she started re-veging. Should I trim off all the bud on the crown and just leave the new growth there? Would love to hear your opinions Cheers

Hi all, Doing my fist grow, I attempted a FIM some time ago but didn't work so now my week 2 flowering plant had a main cola and I was wondering if I've left it too late to attempt a LST of the main cola? The main cola is quite sturdy and I don't think could be bent too far over, do you think it's worth attempting a LST or should I play it same and leave the main cola as is? Thanks

Hi folks, Just after some advice, I have a p/chunk and 2x 8 ball kush (both fem seeds)on the go in a tent. Plan was to attempt to veg one of each strain big enough to take some cuttings but small enough to be managed in flower and finished ASAP. To my surprise the 8 ball seed had twins inside, and one of them is very tall and lanky and has pre flowers with hairs while the other is short, bushy and beautiful but only has the beginnings of pre flowers. The p/ chunk is growing at a similar rate to the short 8 ball but no pre flowers. All three have developed alternating nodes and have been tipped once. Now, will the clones grow exactly like their mums?(if so, I won't clone t…

The hippy husband saw a report on t.v about the banning of sunbeds. Reckons we should pick one up cheap at auction and raise the babies with that.

Hi Everyone, First I'd like to say hi to everyone here, this is my first post!! I have been thinking about having my own stuff at home rather than the late night dodgy deals that go on, and finally came to a conclusion that suits my needs. This below option seemed like a good one for noobs like me that are still trying to get their head around the whole indoor grow thing but still want speedy results so I got one - I have ordered a "Sungarden" indoor garden kit. It's basically a whole bunch of LEDs at the top and a shelf below for soil and another shelf below that for water, that uses a wicking technology... This means the lower tray is filled with water and th…

Ok...after years and years of growing outdoors, the rats of the sky have finally driven me to attempt our first grow indoors. After much studying of your very informative pages..I'm not.. informed that is. Brain must be more baked than I realized. So, can someone help me out with the lights we'll need for 1.2 x 1.2 x 2.0 m grow room. Husband hippy thinks that 2 x 80 watt CFL's will do the trick. Any suggestions?

Hi I'm just finishing my first grow/harvest of 4 plants. For regular watchers to my space, my drying dilemma would be described best as 'ordinary'. And to top that off, the jars I bought from Crazy's aren't even airtight! I found this out when I rinsed them out, filled with water, activated the seal, turned upside down, and watched the water trickle from my wrist, down my arm...!! Where is the honor in Cheap Retailers these days...?! Anyway, my reason for taking up this space is, as stated previously, I'm just finishing my first grow/harvest of 4 plants. My concern is that there were so many branches/arms of the plants that didn't reach full potential in my 1m x 1m Gr…

Has anyone tried grafting cannabis? For a graft to be successful, the graft (scion) has to be grafted to a rootstock of a species within the same family. A quick look on Wikipedia tells me there are about 170 species in the Cannabaceae family. Some of them, like cannabis and hops, are annuals. But some, like Celtis, are perennials. Now my thinking is that if you grafted to a perennial rootstock, then maybe the scion would also become a perennial? Anyone know for sure? If that was the case, that would be pretty sweet, a perennial cannabis plant.

So, With things in full bloom, and the growth significant, things are starting to slow down as week 3 begins (height growth per day) and buds are starting to develop. Despite this, we still have two inevitable factors. a/ the plants will still grow another few inches at least over the next couple weeks. b/ the lights can only go so high. Most common technique is bending and training them down. This is very effective and I use this technique through most of my grow. But you can also 'fold' your plant stems over. This can put a bit more stress on your plants, and certainly do not recommend it if your plants are struggling. However, if your plants are doing well…

Has anybody here tried growing under HPS for a 12/12 lighting schedule from seed? I was reading on another forum that this guy has had really great results from the 12/12 lighting right from the start, and I was thinking that this might work particularly well if paired with HPS for the entire period (ie. instead of using MH for veg and switching to HPS for flower). The reasoning for why this might be a good choice for indoor growers is the following: Growing indoors often involves a height/size restriction, and you might want to keep the plants short, particularly for SOG and other techniques. I suspect that the short lighting schedule would mean shorter plants due to …

Heya all need some input and answers. what happens when a plant outgrows it's pot size? will it will pretty much be stunted and stay the same size? can you use that to your advantage in some ways? my idea instead of 1 plant in a 40cm pot within my 40x40 cupboard, i can fit 4 plants each in 20cm pots. is there any pro's / con's by doing this? the plant won't vegetate as much after the roots fill up the pots, but how will this affect flowering? ... i want to utilise the space in my cupboard better.
