Ok so recently i bought a bunch of seeds from a seedbank, Only one of them cracked in the cup and produced a tap root, the others ended up sitting there for about 1 week with no change, no crack, no tap root.... I ended up just throwing them all in the bin.. I received my 2nd out of my 3rd order of seeds 3 days ago, and the same thing is happening, there are no changes in the seeds sitting in the cups, some of the bag seed i had in there has cracked and shown tap roots, but none of the actual good ones are changing..... So im wondering if its possible to get dud seeds from seedbanks?

Just a quick question (for now), am I crazy to be looking at picking up some $30+ seeds (each)? Marketing hyperbole etc aside, I've come across what sound to be really good seeds, just what I'm after and all that, but are they really going to be worth the extra coin over say seeds that are around the $10 mark? Somehow I can't post the link, but they are Sensi Seeds Northern lights #5 x Haze from Bonza, price is around $34. First question has been asked, but I also guess price per seed is only part of the equation, when you take into account soil, nutrients etc needed over the course of the lifecycle of the plant that extra $20 is minute, and if this strain yields only 3…

I currently have about 10 plants which are 7-8 weeks old and still in veg, I have 6 confirmed females and 4 which I suspect as being male. Most of the females have been showing their pistils for several weeks now, the suspected males however aren't showing much more than little nubs some of which are pointy, the only thing I can confirm is that these are not pistils. Anyways I'm about to switch to 12/12, how long do I have before i need to cull these males? I'd like to be positive before removing them.

Hi all, I have 5 SLH feminised seedlings in 1.5 litre coco, they're about 3 days old, and I have them under a small CFL lamp but they're really reaching for the light. Is it ok to put new seedlings under MH if I leave it up high in the grow space? If not when is the best time to do it please. Dimmo

Hi all, Well I have had my girls in the ground for few months now. 5 White widows. Got 5 regular beans, try to make seeds for winter and next year. And dumb luck paid off and I got 5 girls out of 5. Which is not what I wanted. So I ask beside finding a male to pollen then girls, has any one tried using Colloidal Silver Spray on them to get them to produce balls. I was reading a few papers on how they so call make 100% female beans. One of the methods they said they used was by spaying females with Colloidal Silver once they start to flower. Which .. long story short. Make the females turn hemmy, however the pollen inside the balls in only female pollen. It is not…

What are your guys thoughts on preserving hash in beeswax?? Im planning on making a bit of hash at the end of the season and was thinking if it was an option to make the typical homemade silk screen hash then coat it in a layer of bees wax to keep it fresh, and also as a stealth method. Because the wax and hash are at different levels of consistency i think they may be separable.. Whats the average shelf life of your average hash anyway??? Cheers

So after reading (without hyperbole) thousands upon thousands of pages in forums on cloning autflowers and seeing the same thing said about the subject, repeated verbatim, as if it was some hypnotic mantra, I decided to give it a go. I was expecting exactly what everyone was telling me to expect - Having the plant be the same age, genetically, as the mother plant and only harvesting a small cola at the same time as the mother plant begins to end her flowering period. I have now had this clone blossom into a very healthy and independant plant. The mother is approaching the end of it's flowering cycle, and these two plants are at what appear to be two completely unique …

Hi guys, Long time between posts but I have just got back into growing. I am just vegging a batch of feminized Big Bang seeds to do my indoor/outdoor winter grow and I was hoping to cut some clones and convert one of these clones into a mother. Basically so I don't have to go to the hassle of buying more seeds and so I can keep a mother over winter and use her clones for an outdoor summer grow next year. Currently I am growing the Big Bang in coco under a 250w MH but I really want to simplify (idiot proof) my mother. I was just thinking of putting a rooted clones in a soil pot under a couple of fluro. Would this work?.....I want it to be low maintenance without a lot …

Hey guys, doing my first grow ever (newbie) in a tent 1.2x1.2x2.0 with 3 autos, only have 2 sprouted so far had trouble with the 3rd so I germed another seed and planted it today and we will see how it goes. One white widow, one purple and one Pandora, all autos. Now the question is how much should I water them, I put them straight into big pots after germ they are 20L I know big but its what I had to work with. Hand watering run to waste system, substrate is coco 60% worm castings 30% perlite 10%. As its a big pot, by the time the top is dry the bottom will still be wet and as they are only sprouts their roots wont go down that far yet, should I just water enough for the…

I picked up a block of this the other day. Planning on using it for my seeds after they germinate in a cheap green house I also got from Bunnings. Most people I see just seem to go straight to Coco/Perlite. So I'm wondering if it's a wise idea to try this stuff? Also, with my greenhouse. Do I want to keep it sealed so the humidity rises or should I just keep the lid off for now?

I live in Victoria Australia. It is now the 14th of February. My 6 plants seem to have stopped growing leaves and bunching up. But no hairs poking out everywhere yet.. Besides the the preflowers.. Is this likely to happen soon?? And when will they finish? About 8 to 10 weeks from now?? They are all the same strain with different pheno types. Some more sativa, some more indica. so i assume they will finish at different times. Am i looking at early may if they havent started to full on flower by now? Thanks for the help guys

these seeds are an F1 cross i done with the original White Heaven seeds i got from World Wide Seeds.. from 10 seeds i got 9 sprout.. 8 were male and 1 was female.. i crossed 2 seedlings that looked as identical as they could with each other.. this gave me 1000's of F1 seeds.. so from this i expect to find a few different phenos to find the right one.. this will then be re grown and cloned.. germinating seeds are pretty easy... you can place them in a wet paper towel or soak them in water... this is my method.. and its pretty much fool proof.. all you need is a nice clean glass or rainwater... carefully float the seeds on top... if any sink them remove them wi…

This is my first outdoor grow and my best plant got over fertilized. Slight nutrient burn on tips and edges. (not very bad) But it has gone a dark shade of green when it was a lighter green less than a week ago a few days after i put on the fertilizer. I heard too much nitrogen can cause this.. Anyway will it recover?? Because it the middle of summer and not far off flowering stage. WILL THE DARKER LEAVES WORK AS EFFECTIVELY IF THEY STAY DARK GREEN??? OR PRODUCE LESS BUD? \they are in the ground btw and i have been flushing soil... burn isnt getting worse. growth may be slowed not really sure.. HOW much will this effect yeild..
