Hi, My grow tent is 1.2mx1.2mx2m high currently growing in an uninsulated double garage and consequently the cold environment has stunted their growth. My question is how many watts of heat would I need to heat my grow tent comfortably. I found a mini oil heater that fits perfectly it is a 600w oil heater. Would this be enough to heat the space and keep it warm while the extraction fan is on? Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

Growing/veg in those small black cheap nursery pots that are 13cm wide x 14cm tall ... after 4 weeks when the plants are ~1ft tall the holes in the pot are pretty much blocked from the roots, the roots look like they're almost choking each other the bigger they get. Anyway when it comes to moving them into the larger pots in the flower room, is it better to just stick the plant - pot and all - into the clay pebbles (no transplant as such), or actually remove it from the small pot first and properly transplant it? (I would normally just cut the pot off it, so there's not much in the way of root shock, although the pot can't be reused) A friend says he just sticks them…

Howdy Folks, I am trying to think of a method of planting seeds that would suit Hydroponics, I am using the clay balls and was not wanting to use jiffy pots as i would rather keep the dirt out of the system. I have used rockwool previously but am not that happy with them as they tend to hold too much water when in the balls. I was thinking maybe i might try some shredded tissues in a paper cup and when they have grown a bit turn it upside down and hopefully end up with a paper plug that the roots should grow out through ok. I have started the seeds in paper towels at the moment but will soon need to move them to somewhere more stable. Any suggestions? Cheers Z

Hey guys, First time grower here, have been lurking the forums for a while. Outdoors grow in pot plants, in a green house. So I planted 6 white widow x big bud seeds in some tiny little pots, and put them under a light my mate uses (don't know what type) for the first 24 hours to help germinate them, then left them outside with a little bit of water every 2nd day to germinate them. However the past 4-5 days there has been one day of sun and the rest rain. I've just put the little pots in a greenhouse outside in a new location that will get a lot more sun, but the plants haven't grown out of the soil yet. I planted last Tuesday, and its Sunday now so its been 5-6 day…

Hi Guys, Been lurking for a while and just got a order of 22 or so SSS and some extras b4 hand that I thought I would practice with before possibly ruining my beautiful stash. These 2 are Fem Black Berry OG from Emerald Triangle, both popped easy; one went into a coco pot after being soaked for a bit in a shot glass, then watered in with GH Lucas on 30th June. The Other is in a peat pod obviously but is looking a bit small planted on 11th July. They are on a heat mat with some other unrelated things as u can see, because its quite cold outside. Light is a 130w 6400k CFL ebay special on 18/hr day. Also have a 250W HPS but its a bit warm I think at this stage as well as a…

So I've been hitting one of my girls (Cookies Kush) with Colloidal Silver for quite a few weeks now, and finally I've started seeing some male pollen sacs, I think. I'm pretty happy as nothing was happening for quite a while... I'm guessing they are no where near ready to start collecting pollen, any tips regarding collecting & storing pollen? Will it be obvious when the pollen is ready for collection? Cheers, e420

Hi im new at growing and i was wondering what might be wrong with my seedling. It has a few spots of discolouration in the middle of the leaves and one is turned up slightly, they are in potting mix solo cups and have only been fed water no added nutrients. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Howdy Folks, I was just wondering if anyone has had experience taking cuttings from mature plants? The reason being that i have 5 plants in a tent and they are about a month away from being finished and one of the plants i have been spraying with colloidal silver to get male flowers growing on the female plants, I have done this before and it works really well, the 2 branches i have been spraying have male flowers just starting to appear and if i leave it for too much longer i am going to have 5 plants covered in female seeds. My choices are remove the plant with the male flowers OR put pollination bags over the two branches (which i don't have atm) OR cut the two branche…

hi all. i have a seedling that has 3 cotyledons. 1 normal one and 2 that seem to be sort of fused together on the bottom half, but separated top half. i guess this shouldn't have much of an impact on the rest of the plants life?

Hey guys, Just thought I would share some info on how to germinate a seedling, and the first 3 weeks of growth. I'm still a new grower, but when I was starting out I was finding it hard to compare my seedling growth to others at various stages in the first few weeks and I have seen others asking the same type of questions since joining up. This is by no means a definitive guide, but it's what I've tried and what has worked well for me. I have had issues in the past and after seeking advice from members here and combining some of that advice with other information I've read this is what I've come up with. I've now germinated a few seeds this way and all are doing well, b…

So what's the best / quickest way to identify a female plant? as not to waste too much veg cycle time if it's a male. Can you start on 12/12 then as soon as it shows something, ditch or switch to 18/6? how do you do it?
