Help, please!!! I think one of my plots has the PH out of whack!!! I was running the waste water out of the washing machine onto the garden last summer and, over time, realized it was seeping under one of my mullies. Washing powder is vey alkaline & I suspect that was why that plant was stunted ( thankfully I got over 3lb off the other!!! ). I tried to test the PH tonight with a poxy stick/paper test you'd use for a spa bath . Didn't work!!! SO.....how do I test the soil??? Your help will be greatly appreciated

I need some advice on my soil mix for this years grow. The holes are going to be approximately 2 X 2 X 2 feet big which i calculated to being around 226 litres big. I want this grow to be organic so I hope to use the Searles range. I plan on using the 'Garden Soil Mix' which is on this page http://www.searles.com.au/SoilMixesComposts.html and for an addition i plan on using 'Kick along organic potting mix' which is here http://www.searles.com.au/OrganicRange.html if the organic kick along has • Searles 5 IN 1 Plus® Pellets Organic Plant Food • Searles Fish & Kelp Plus® • Blood & Bone • Potash Bloom Booster would it be stupid to add extra ferts su…

I'm not a professional botanist or anything but I've done a few guerilla grows. Nothing major. Most I ever grew was about 20 big Indica types I got from Kog in NSW a few years back. I think it was mullimbimby madness crossed with a thai indica. Can't remember. Whats the difference between variety and strain anyway? As I said I don't know much about the science. I'm still looking around for something to grow this year and the haze types I was recommended sound a bit hard. One reviewer said it needed curing to be worth smoking and I never bother with that. I was impressed with what I just read about Big Bud though. Again it might be beyond my level of green thumb. A tou…

grew from seed one healthy lookin' specimen...then it started growin' balls......but it looked so healthy, and I had never kept a male before...so I took it in its pot and planted it on it's own...about 1/2k from it's sisters....Now it's still got it's balls down low but has developed wispy white growths on the very top that look a lot like a female...I'm guessing it's a hermaphrodite...can I get someone's opinion on that?.....if she is, can she fertilize herself?....and if heads develop, are they smokeable after drying? meanng can I get stoned from a hermie?? Any other insights on hermies would be helpful...tis an outdoor grown in SE Qld...

Hey Gang, I found a site in a state forrest after doing lots of driving and bushwalking. Put in money and hours of work preparing the plot and then transplanted my seedlings early one morning last weekend. The problem is as I was returning to my car the ranger was waiting for me. I told him I was simply going for an early morning bushwalk. Went and checked the girls last night and he had followed my tracks and stamped on them! I destroyed what was left of the evidence and got outta there. Now I wanna get straight back into it and have popped some more seeds. I downloaded google earth and have been looking everywhere for a new spot. Im obviously staying away from …

Hi Everybody. Having just joined this group let me first say Hello and what a fantastic site and now i will explain my situation. Originally from the cold and wet part of Europe, i moved to the north coast of N.S.W. just over a year ago, one of the pushing factors was the opportunity to grow in the Aussie sun which is though of widely in Europe as one of if not the best place on planet earth to grow really good quality cannabis outdoors. Been from Europe where seed sale is legal as a lot of u may already know but we always got to grow indoors for any real quality. So what my "friend" done was give me some seeds from DNA Genitics - great white shark, chocolope and…

First post in here so try to be understanding of my somewhat amateur questions. Based in Melbourne. Please let me know if you foresee problems in this setup. I have recently been blessed with a few lovely seeds that i decided to germinate and plant accordingly in a makeshift greenhouse. I've got 6 seedlings at about a week old sitting in my garden at the moment and i'm trying to decided what to do with them. The Greenhouse that i built worked wonders and i'm thinking of upscaling it to fit maybe 3 full sized plants in my back garden. The current green house is is about a 1ft wide, 2.5ft long and 1.5ft high. I'm going to build a bigger greenhouse with the specs of abo…

hey guys, my apologies if this isn't written too well.. i've had a few too many tonight but with that out of the way.. let me begin my plans and thoughts. Well, without anything growing this season, my stash is dropping alittle low, and because I'm back with the parents, that makes things alittle difficult, though i will let a mate grow some in my setup while im home, aslong as i get some smoko.. The park around the corner from my place is dense in bush and my regular running route cuts straight through it, so it wouldn't be anything unusual if i was spotted in the bush several times a week when needed (i knew i was building up an alibi) im also going to can the ide…

so you've found your ideal spot. now comes the tricky part.. growing good quality dope without getting it ripped off. imagine spending 6 months lugging water and caring for ya girls only to get it ripped by some low life who couldn't be bothered growing his own. it would be devastating. luckily thus far it hasn't happened to me. and i wouldn't mind keeping it that way! here are some techniques that i use. i'll keep adding more as i remember them. personal tips. try and get into the routine of getting out of bed before the sun comes up. you beat the heat of the day and generally most people in the general public are still asleep. have a good drink of water befo…
