Any people from brisbane who have grown during winter outside? Do we have enough long days in winter and decent weather to have an outdoor grow. I'm ok if I dont get a decent cash crop just want to practice before August- September which I'm told is best time to start. What do you guys use to keep spider mites at bay? I think we may have that issue currently at our house with other plants been chewed on. Would love to get thoughts as well as products attached as images. Hey people Soon to be first time grower here. Doing plenty of research on making a good soil and I'm a bit overwhelmed! I will be growing indoors, just a couple of plants, for my own supply. I'd like to produce some good quality, tasty buds! I was hoping that maybe a few of you would post your successful soil recipes here please? Brands and quantities would be greatly appreciated. Much of the research I have done is very USA based, so some Aussie advice would be great. Thanks in advance!

Hello. Germinating my seeds and it's all going well. I am planting in organic potting mix in air-pots. I want to use Seasol during vegetative growth, are there any other Bunnings nutrients that will work well? I also know of Powerfeed. Any nutrients appropriate for flowering would also be handy. I've seen other threads on this forum about Seasol, Bunnings nutrients, etc., but they're very scattered, so I thought this could serve as a currently up to date post with information for people that have, or want to, use Bunnings nutrients for their plants.

I was watching four corners on the abc and it was called green rush. It was about medical cannabis in Australia. They had a growing room full of plants and the buds that were shown were absolutely huge. I would like to know the strsin involved. They cut down a few plants and triming them , but from what i saw they still had white pistels and from my humble view still had a while to go. It is a very interesting program, and shows how big business is going to cash in on the gravytrain.

Hi all. I have got some Jack Herer Fast seeds from yantra. Just wondering if anyone else has grown these or similar and knows how long the Veg time is. The only indie I can find online is that the flower time is 6-7 weeks. But no mention of Veg. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

Hi, First time growing. This is the 7th week since seed. Trying to learn. So far had a few fuck ups and almost killed the plants but well, they survived Done little bit LST (bent the main stems), topped once, and yesterday put them under a scrog, well sort of. Can you please check the photos and tell me if you spot anything that is obviously wrong to you? Is it too low to scrog? Left side one (og kush) have many tops but can't get the right side one (northern lights) be the same/similar (only 3-4 tops). How long more should I wait before switch to 12/12? My space is limited, do I wait the canopy to cover the space or will the growth in flowering do that, so th…

It's coming to that time where temps drop a bit (they already have). I'm growing indoors in a large open space with the intake from outside. Because the space is large with only a small grow I can't heat using an oil heater or similar. I've done a fair bit of reading about heat mats and the consensus is to remove them after the seed pops the surface, kept on longer may result in root rot. My temps have gone as low as 13 in the room. Would it be ok to use the heat mat under fabric pots in winter? Even though I use a 400w hps it doesn't really heat up the space because it's so open. Opinions? OK to use the mat underneath during winter? MLG Posted from the OZ Stoners mobi…

Penny for your thoughts. I have a very slow growing plant. A GSC auto in DWC (yes, probably a bad decision for a noob). It's 5 weeks old today, bushy but very short (11cm) and is showing no signs of flowering. I don't want a 4 month grow! - 300W LED - Small tent in garage - temps 20-24C - humidity 40-50% - THC nutes Grow A + B. Gradually increased to 3/4 of dose shown on bottle. pH has dropped to 5.5 since so will back off to 1/2 dose next rez change (EC 0.8). I think I was giving it too much relative to its size. - 20/4 light schedule Leaves are pale between veins since beginning. Have added some epsom salts but no noticeable change. Not sure if I need cal mag. N…

Heard a few stories about timers failing due to heavy startup loads with hps lamps and ballasts. I am getting ready to flip in the coming week and have been running lights 24/7. Got cheap bunnings timers for exhaust fan but don't think it will hold up for the 600watt hps lamp I'll be running. Any suggestions. I'll post a few pics and a few more details later if I get some responses. Cheers. Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

Medium - straight coco in 3 Gal fabric pots. Nutes - House and Garden and a bit of calmag sometimes (to be sure, to be sure) Watering Method - DTW I'm in week 4 of flower (or there abouts) of my NL grow and finding that my every second day watering is not enough. My PPM is anywhere between 800-900 at the moment when I feed. I'd like to change to a daily watering. Because I'm doing so, should I be reducing my PPM to let's say 700? MLG.
