Since i dont know of any person who has tried this, nor has anyone said its impossible, i decided to freeze a cutting there is no real point to this experiment other than to see if the clone survives or not and since i have more than enough cuttings atm, losing one wont hurt a bit anyways, here is a pic, will put up another in a week or so and then if it hasnt already died, i'll pull the cutting out and see if it is possible to nurse it back to health btw, if you look at the freezer door you can see it decided to nibble at a leaf so if the cutting manages to survive, it will be amazing

I have been doing a bit of reading about mineral deficiencies and water types and their relation to the type of Nutrient you choose. Sometimes you come across a discussion that mentions hard and soft water so I thought I would post this to help anyone wondering how to tell what their water is. When you test your water straight out of the tap you can tell whether it is hard or soft giving you the info to tailor your nute choice to your supply and make everything work just like it should while using the minimal adjustors aka-PH Down etc. Hard water is water that has a high mineral content (water with a low mineral content is known as soft water). This content usually …

ive only ever grown one way - germinate a seed in rockwool, stick that in a pot full of clay pebbles, then to my water reservoir i add A + B veg or flower nutes, budlink (silica), then adjust the pH, and voila it's happy for a week until i rechange the water. But im contemplating getting rid of the clay pebbles and nutes and going the organic route. So what mediums are the go? and what additional nutrients if any are needed? Please respond as if i was an idiot.

I have perlite left over from my very first grow. and I really want to reuse the grow media. I've done some googling and all I got was that it's a good idea to sift and to use waterd down peroxide to sterilise. I'm not sure if reusing is something that's widely done by other members here but if anyone can shed some light on this for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, I know that I'm asking a lot of Questions lately but I am realizing all the things I didn't notice in research time! So anyway...what are the runoff vales of the nutrient used for and what should they be? I'm using Canna Aqua vege at 20mls/ltr PH is 5.4 and the EC is 1.6. Also what signs do I look for that the ferts are too strong or weak? The plants are already going well and seem to be responding to the new nutes well anyway... Thanks Jimbo

Gday all, I have the res tank/recirculating system all up and going with half strength nutes and the air pump etc. I'm about to start feeding at 10mins for every two hours - does this sound like enough? I'm going to try and get around 40% runoff. The medium is expanded clay balls. Jimbo

Just setting up a wardrobe for the first time, its a fairly solid one 180h x 90w x 50deep with white laminate on the inside. I will be picking up some lights tomorrw, probably 600wHPS, and basically hanging it from the top of the wardrobe. Not using Hyrdo, just soil, and starting off with clones that have recently grown some root system. These clones are said to be very good, so i'm not too keen on killing them with my lack of growing knowledge, so I thought best to throw over to you guys for some advice? Do I need a fan for circulation, does this setup sound ok, and also what sort of soil mix do you recommend? Cheers

What, if any, difference is there between Bio Bugs and Canna-Zym apart from one being organic? Also what is the ideal level to start the application of Canna Aqua vege nutes? Jimbo

I am trying to decide at the moment what will be the best way to ensure a good grow using nutes. What results have pople obtained using either chem or organic? Do you think Chemicals will be easier to use for an outdoor crop? Will they make the buds more potent? Thanks, Tazwhacker :smoke
