So another quick question - am growing outdoors, if that makes much difference, but if I wanted to add another 3 or 4 plants to my grow is it going to be a better idea to order some more seeds and grow from seed or just start to trying to take clones of what I already have? Not that concerned about having all different varieties this grow so that isn't a factor in choosing seeds over clones. Will it make much difference either way? Is it maybe getting slightly late to be growing from seed now anyway, assuming ordering today and 10 days delivery it could be early December before they start to germinate.

G'day gang. So I'm wondering about growing. There seems to be so much information out there, almost too much for someone like me. All I want is one plant that I can grow from a pot in my shed. No fancy set up, no lighting, nothing like that. Just a basic pot and plant type situation. With the days turning warmer, is it as easy as planting a seed, watering it and keeping it company every now and then? If people don't mind, can I please have a really brief rundown, a how-to and maybe some tips from others who have done the pot plant version? Cheers, Z

Gday guys I've recently dont the research and found that coco should help bring in a stella crop only thing is this wil be a grow that can only be attented to twice a week. I will be using the Canna brand coco mix with canna coco part a + b also with canna additives hole size is roughly 2ftx2ftx2ft and holds 60 odd ltrs of coco and could provide 100ltrs of water per week. will this be enough so bottom line can coco be somewhat low maintenance ? thanks everyone

Hi all I have had a few questions reguarding the pots I use, so I decided since the tent is empty and pots too I would take some photos for all to see. I got these pots from me local hydro shop. I havent seen them around on the net, sure they are there, haven't really looked. Cost me about $100 for the 3 pots, 3 grid inserts, 3 stands & 3 pot socks. Running this system elininates the need for 2 pots by having the grid in the bottom and drain below it. In that space allows a dry area after the run off has passed through for all the benificial bacteria and goodies like that to brew and receive oxygen aswell as the roots. Run off and roots easily pass through the mesh …

I read that spraying 100ppm of gibberellic acid on a female branch once a day for 10 days will turn it male but because the plant is female it will have female chromosomes. Crossing the pollen with another female from a different mother will then create all female seed without risk of inbreeding. Does this work? Would save a lot of water carting if I could make my own all female seed.

Hey folks. Been having heat and grasshopper issues here so I built some little shadehouse's using shadecloth, some random wire I had lying around and nylon. The idea of the smaller shade hats is to be able to plant really young seedlings straight into the ground and just keep the heat off them a bit while they get established. Its also protects from any plant eating pests that like to knock them off. Tools I used Wire (from anywhere) Shadecloth 15% (the lightest gauge available) Long lasting string (hutchie chord) Multitool covered most things Needle i made from the wire . Used sandpaper and a file to refine it. The HD wire needed HD pliers and a hacksaw to c…

Hi all Thought I would pick up some of the Proganics Root Care from Bunnings. I use House & Garden Rroots Excelurator with great results, it is expensive but worth every $ IMO. But it is expensive @$130 for 250ml, this cost me $20 for 1L which will do 1000L of water. So it is quite concentrated. If it is half as good as Roots Exl I would be happy. In a few weeks I will try a quick side by side grow using clones. Just veg them a few weeks and pull apart the root mass (so yes addicts there will be root porn) Proganics do have a full range of Hydroponic nutrients that you can get from Bunnings, I might give it a side by side later on if I get some room, see how it …

Just abit curious as i think i was reading somewhere on a yank forum someone sprayed one of there autos with colloidal silver and got over 300+seeds from 1 part of the plant

Hi all Just seeking some advice/opinions on temporary potting of clones. I have had a bit of a search but cant seem to find any info to answer my questions my current method is to cut clones just before flower cycle which means they sit around for 8 weeks prior to being put in pots. After a couple of weeks, they have all they roots coming out of the bottom of the rockwool blocks, which means the roots are all exposed for a while. Although I have never had any problems with this I am wondering if there is room for improvement. would there be any benefit in putting the clones into small pots after roots start to show (does this exposure damage roots?), then repotting …
