Quote of the Week 'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.' hello to all, excuse my ignorance in not saying hello on joining ozstoners As any who have read my rants I am reform cause they won't let me regrowth I really wanted to have a big bitch to celebrate my 100th post but flaked it and ranted in another thread so this is post 101 (i think) What to rant about is not a hard choice, some have seen my rants about the police being a corrupt institution which has a vested interest in maintaining a false war on drugs. Some may have read my rants about the way the police have treated me, some have accused me of whinging ( and rightly so). But I will try and contain my rants to this thread from now on? Prehistoric human 'took hallucinogenic drugs' 13:00 AEST Mon Oct 20 2008 By ninemsn staff Humans were indulging in mind-expanding drugs in prehistoric times, new archaeological evidence suggests. Scientists have unearthed ceramic bowls and inhaling tubes used by ancient South American tribes to prepare and consume hallucinogenic drugs. The findings, published in the Journal of Archaeological Science, confirm long-held suspicions that our ancestors used drugs. But much of that evidence has been indirect, ranging from images found in prehistoric cave art to the discovery of hemp seeds in excavations. Archaeologists Quetta Kaye, of University College London, and …

Hi People how are you all out there? I recently joined the canna community and am really stoked to see such a large number if resources and discussions here. The Chronicle-Telegram Staff 20/10/08 http://www.chroniclet.com/2008/10/20/man-t...ld-my-weed_122/ © 2008 Chronicle-Telegram LORAIN — Asking a stranger to hold your weed when you spot a police car is never a good idea. Asking a stranger, who happens to be an off-duty police officer, is probably the definition of a bad idea. Yet Saturday night outside the Broadway bar Dimacchia’s on the Corner, that’s what police say 35-year-old David LaViena of Lorain did, which resulted in his arrest for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. LaViena, who police say was highly intoxicated at the time, was outside the bar when he spotted a police cruiser …

http://cannazine.co.uk/cannabis-news/europ...offee-shop.html Dutch 101 for beginners: A coffee shop isn't where you get a caffeine fix. Coffee shops in the Netherlands are places where you can buy and smoke marijuana legally. I would never advocate the usage of drugs under normal circumstances, but I visited one of these "coffee shops" and sampled their wares on a recent trip to Amsterdam. Of course, it was all strictly for research purposes. The Greenhouse coffee-shop also offers users an enjoyable experience in Amsterdam whether a first time tourist or perhaps someone a bit more experienced... I was accompanied on my investigation by a fellow travel wr…

Heres a few things i found jus browsing thought they were funny.. SCRATCH & SPLIFF "Quote" Hash grower is let off over itchy privates A CANNABIS farmer was shown mercy by a sheriff yesterday - after explaining he wanted to use the drug to tackle the pain of itchy genitals. Gregor Spalding said he had been in "chronic pain" for three years. And he told a court he grew the drug to provide relief because painkillers were not working. Police had arrived at Spalding's home in Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland, on April 15 looking for someone else - but detected a strong smell of cannabis. Spalding, 30, led them to a cupboard where he had set up a small crop o…

Found this article whilst surfing the net, Its fairly old, but still a interesting read none the less. In particular for people who don't know much about how marijuana affects the body/brain and addiction vs tolerance stuff. http://www.ukcia.org/research/gettman3.htm THE TLDR version for people that can't be bothered clicking the link or reading the entire thing: Cannabis works differently than most other drugs. Most hard drugs, and common drugs etc, ie: Cocaine, Heroin, amphetamines, Alcohol, Tobbaco etc work by adjusting the dopamine levels in your body, which gives you that high/pleasurable feeling, although most often, with extended use, your body naturally re…
