I've received a few emails today regarding the fallout from Sandra's brilliant final speech in the South Australian Parliament [thanks Smokin' Moose] . . . if you've not read it, please do so here . . . it is rather enervating! The nay-sayers are out in force though, read their villifications sent to Sandra . . . Dear M/S Kanck, I see from reading on the web that you have involved yourself in the debate around cannabis. I know you have been much engaged with so called medical cannabis issue, I will not dwell on that. You will know as I do, that "medicinal" raw cannabis, especially when smoked,is no medicine. You may also have by now become aware that the so called med…

Farm has high hopes for homes made with hemp By Alexandra Wood 31 December 2008 Yorkshire Post http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/Farm-h...-for.4833626.jp ONCE farmers had to grow it by Royal decree to ensure Britain ruled the waves. Hemp, the plant said to have 25,000 uses, including making ropes and sails, has long since fallen out of fashion. But a Yorkshire family farming business is now not only cultivating hemp but are turning it into modern-day eco-building materials. Martin and Nick Voase, who farm near Leven, started growing hemp six years ago to supply a Suffolk-based company called Hemcore. But the contract fell through because of prohibitive haulage …

Gotcha! Radley Balko Reason .. Free Minds and Free Markets http://www.reason.com/blog/show/130429.html?success=1 Like Mark Draughn, I've been somewhat skeptical of Barry Cooper, the former drug cop turned pitchman for how-to-beat-the-cops videos. He comes off as more of a huckster than a principled whistle-blower, which I think does the good ideas he stands for (police reform) more harm than good. But damn. I have to hand it to him. This might be one of the ballsiest moves I've ever seen. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=m3Fu4YVH8nA http://nevergetbusted.com/node/178 KopBusters rented a house in Odessa, Texas and began growing two small Christmas trees under a gro…

I know this sounds very dramatic, but I had an idea last night that really got me thinking. I'm sure your all aware of the governments idea to genetically isolate the pain killing attributes of pot as a form of pain killers. As i was munching into a salad my friend made whilst stoned, I realised how friggen awesome it tasted. Now I'm not the guy who typically eats salad unless I'm forced too. haha. So then it struck me. Why can't they isolate the component of pot that makes stuff taste so good. Pot makes things taste good, I've never met a person who have said food tastes 'worse' while stoned. I shared this with the group i was with and one of them posed a question,…
