Onderwerp: Notification of Limited Account Access

Dear Nol van Schaik,

The PayPal User Agreement states that PayPal, at its sole discretion,

Agreement, including the Acceptable Use Policy. Under the Acceptable Use

Policy, PayPal may not be used to send or receive payments for narcotics,

steroids, controlled substances (including any substance listed in

Schedules I, II, III, IV or V of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, 21

U.S.C. 801 et seq.), or drug paraphernalia (as defined in 21 U.S.C. 863).

Onderwerp: Regarding your email inquiry

Dear Nol van Schaik,

Thank you for contacting PayPal.

Upon reviewing the account information, I show the account has been

permanently limited due to violating the Acceptable Use Policy. You may not

use PayPal in the purchase or sale of any drug or other substance, or

immediate precursor, included in Schedule I of the Uniform Controlled

Substances Act, 21 U.S.C. 801 et seq. or related paraphernalia. The U.S.

Attorney General has found that Schedule I drugs have a high potential for

abuse, no currently accepted medical use in treatment, and lack accepted

safety for use. These substances are illegal to manufacture, distribute, or

possess. Additionally, although the sale of such may be legal in certain

jurisdictions or circumstances, due to safety concerns, PayPal also

prohibits the sale of GHB (gamma hydroxyl butyrate), Rohypnol, and anabolic

steroids.

Also you may not use PayPal to sell drug paraphernalia, as defined in 21

U.S.C. 863. Such paraphernalia includes equipment, product, or material of

any kind which is primarily intended or designed for use in manufacturing,

compounding, converting, concealing, producing, processing, preparing,

injecting, ingesting, inhaling, or otherwise introducing into the human

body a controlled substance.

Please know that PayPal reserves the right to take preventative or

corrective actions to protect itself and its users. I would like to

apologize for any inconvenience on this matter; however, the decision is

final and the account will not be reinstated.

If you have any questions, please contact the PayPal Compliance Department

at paypal-compliance@paypal.com.

Sincerely,

Acceptable Use Policy Department

Services Authority in the United Kingdom as an electronic money

Well, that saves me the trouble of setting one up for them to close down when there narrow fucking minds collapse at the truths being spread around by our new pro-cannabis publication.

We as cannabis users are a part of the largest and most disconnected culture in the world.

We are victims of cultural genocide.

There has been more money spent trying to wipe out our culture than spent feeding the thirdworld poor and hungry.

A-fucking-mazing

G'day everyone..

One of the problems paypal and it's parent company now eBay, is that an amazing amount of scams have been run through the pair of them. I have it on good authority that some opiate dependant people have bought bottles of oxycontin, under the implied belief the bottle will contain x amount of gear. They've paid literally hundreds for what turns up obviously to be, an empty oxycontin bottle.

The victims have been crying foul for the rip off, and under paypal's previous rules, could ask for refund if the product delivered wasn't "as advertised". Under their old rules, if you bought somthing that showed uo "wrong" or didn't show up at all, they'd refund the dough.

You'd think no-one would be silly enough to think the bottle would actually contain anything usable in it, but hey, that's what's been happening. They've felt protected, because of paypal's rules, and so paypal have just realigned their rules, and of course gone over the top to include all drug paraphanalia as one.

My own personal expereinec with paypal has been so disasterous I found them so dishonest I actually wrote to my bank and specifically ordered no more "purchases" to be taken from my credit card by them.

I bought a bunch of fishing lures, which I paid for from the operating paypal account. No problems. Then a week or so later, I went to buy somthing else, believing I had a ballance of a few dollars left over.

However, on finding a zero ballance, I disocvered they had charged me again, and what wasn't available to them in my operating paypal account, they simply deducted from my credit card, which I had previously given them access to, but not for unlimited purposes of course (so i thought).

Over the next two weeks, they took another 2 payments, only of a few dollars each time, but for no apparent reason. Then a payment was deducted through paypal in the name of eBay, and that was that. Each time they took some dough was only small (under ten dollars each time); but hell it gives a fright to have someone taking what they please as they please. No contact phone number to compain, no one answering emails. I was wondering if the next withdrawal might empty everything.

My only way to protect myself was to have my credit card stopped, and go through all the dramas of re-applying for a new one, or writing a letter, expressly naming who I wanted access blocked.

Anyway, the upshot is I reckon paypal is a great idea run by bastards. Maybe another time, another bunch of people will try again, and do a better job.

cheers

rob

paypal is a shitty service, dont bother and if you want a realatively safe way to shop online, open up one of those visa debit accounts or another one based on the same idea. they are just a normal savings account that allows you to use the bank card as a credit card :bleh: that means you can keep a few cents in there to keep the account open and every time you want to make a purchase online you just transfer the amount you need to pay into the visa debit account B) there is no need to worry about someone stealing your card and making purchases if there is no money in the account as your credit limit is the current balance of the account so keep it small and you are as safe as could be :bleh:
