Thanks mate. I have had to water it a couple of times, first had to flush and then gave her some nutes so yeah possibly that might have caused it. I'm not planning on watering it for 3 days now so hopefully it should be it's perky self soon.

I disagree

Heat stress looks the same ,put your hand under the light just at the top of canopy and if it gets uncomfortable it's too close

Unless heat is an issue you could get the light way closer. 1ft should be fine.

 

When I have leaves curling like that it is usually from overwatering aka The Claw

Heat or over watering can cause the “ Claw “  so it’s go to be one of the two or maybe both?

 

I’m leaning towards overwatering.

 

She will be all right just let it dry out a little.

Also I think your soil is low on required nutrients

You can't use hydro nutrients when medium is soil

Power feed would be a better choice,something that's specific to soil

Hydro nutrients for hydro mediums only

Outside ain't much use atm,winter sun not as good as summer,so if it's not a issue leave under light All the time

15 ,if your temps dropped lower than this it's going to slow growth

Going from 15 then straight under the hps ,the raise in temps suddenly could be causing the lead curl

My lights have a sunrise and sunset feature

This starts the light at 60% and takes 1 hr to get to 100%

This helps with that sudden change

I grow indoors in soil under a 600 HPS cool tube and have came across this issue a few times and most times it was down to overwatering. Had the same thing happen in summer when the temp in the tent was to high too.

 

Your 250 could go a little closer just use the old school hand temp gauge, put ya hand over the top of the plant under the light and if ya hand feels to warm well then it’s to warm for the plants.

 

Love me indoor soil grows but it can get a little tricky sometimes though

Gentlemen, thank you for your valuable advice. I will try to keep the light more controlled from now. I usually let it sit in temperature controlled room where temp is set to 21. But I dont really give my plant enough time in the morning to adjust to lights, will try that too.

I have been using Professor's nutes which has stated that they can be used in soil

I'll start powerfeed and report any changes.

Porky might chime in ,he's uses soil and has some things that will help from Bunnings

Just an update.. she's been doing well but I've started noticing some reddish colour on leaves of the flower. All other leaves are green..

I feel like this plant is going to teach me everything about growing a plant properly.
