We have taken a huge hit as we rely on tourism and with a huge drop in people travelling its really slowed down so now im taking in no wages anymore so I can help keep the locals that work for us stay working here.

 

We still get a few in and people eating and drinking at the bistro but fk me its really hit hard

 

People on the dole now get double what they used to get with just over $500 per week or $1100+ a fortnight now for 6 months, might have to get on the dole now

 

All these government grants for small business help but it don't go far so I'm going out tomorrow and buying a new $35k 4x4 that will be a complete tax ride off just because I can, cheers scomo its for the park you know

Double dole is extremely generous and bothersome. Basically they're saying there will be no work for the next six months. On the flip side, the unemployed have to isolate for this to work, hard to isolate or prepare on $500 a fortnight.
