Indycar
What if we removed every word that someone finds offensive from our vocabulary ? It'd make for interesting conversations wouldn't it ? Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app Not if they had enough words in their vocabulary that they could draw on.. RC.
There is a fascinating book called "Holy Shit: A Brief History of Swearing" by Melissa Mohr which explains a lot about our changing perception of what we consider acceptable. The C word used to be an ordinary word until the prudes of the Victorian era changed things to to their way of thinking and we all now are supposed to talk like we are trained to do due to a mere convention based on the wishes of some old dead royal tnuc. We are all educated to be be what the powers wish us to be ie how to think, feel, act and speak etc.
