Perlite stays pretty dry and as such fungus gnats do not like it is as they prefer a moist substrate.

 

DE punctures the fungus gnats exoskeleton and kills them as they dry out. The problem with DE as a top dress is that it turns to mud when you water it, best to use sparingly when you see the gnats active rather than like an inch layer (unless you are feeding from the bottom)

Yeah pretty happy for 16l fabric pots.

 

Incredible bulk tallest until I potted up after stretch. Was also topped.

 

Rqs NL biggest atm @1300mm.

 

All between 1-1200mm cept one that went to flower after the top. Thats 4-500.

 

I think they grow same as photo for first 2 weeks. Then they take off.

Critical they get a clear run.

 

At 30 days I feel you know how you have done

 

Best ones I have are 4-500mm around day 30
